On Kickstarter, I came across this interesting project that aims to change that with Hush, the first smart set of earplugs.

Nillkin Sparkle Leather Cover Hard Case for Sony Xperia Z3 Compact

One of the inexpensive ways to carry and protect your Sony Xperia Z3 compact is the Nillkin Sparkle Leather Cover Hard Case. It has come “bling” without being obnoxious. Better still, it actually protects the small Sony super-phone with aplomb and it won’t break the bank thanks to its inexpensive cost. It was immediately clear to my why this case carries the name it does. The design of the case catches the light in such a manner that it truly does “sparkle” as you move it around. The company notes that the Sparkle Leather Case is made from “select imported…

Jason Parker Quartet ‘Homegrown’: A New Delight

Back in 2010, I reviewed Jason Parker’s ‘No More, No Less’ declaring it “a recording that is filled with great tunes, wonderful improvisation, and insightful interplay from start to finish.”. His Nick Drake tribute was one of my top 2011 albums, and now the Jason Parker Quartet is back with an album of compositions by local Seattle composers.

Nintendo Amiibo Character Update

Nintendo’s recently released Amiibo interactive figures used in popular Wii U games like Super Smash Bros. are already causing a collectible frenzy with short supply of certain figures after an initial November 21 release. These now rare figures include Marth, Villager, the Wii Fit Trainer, and my personal favorite Little Mac from Punch-Out.

Peter Pan Live! Meets 30 Rock

I am insanely excited for Peter Pan Live! After watching the previews, I am reasonably sure they raided a 70’s-era bar for Peter Pan’s clothes, Allison Williams looks less like a young man and more like a drag king, and Christopher Walken just looks lost. Funny or Die has weighed in with their take, starring Jane Krakowski of 30 Rock! Leaked ‘Peter Pan Live!’ Audition Tape with Jane Krakowski from Jane Krakowski Peter Pan Live! starring Allison Williams as the prettiest Peter Pan ever, is airing this Thursday, December 4th on NBC. Leave your bets below on whether Twitter will…

Jurassic World is Coming!

I am a huge fan of “Jurassic Park“. It easily ranks in my top five movies of all time, even if the sequels were a little weaker. So yes, I am quite excited for “Jurassic World”, but the trailer has lowered my enthusiasm from “HECK YEA” to “Yea…hopefully they don’t screw this up.”
