Sena Creativo Pouch for the iPhone 4S review

Geardiary sena creativo iphone 18

I have never been a huge fan of smartphone pouches preferring, instead, cases that protect the device full-time. After all, at the moment you pull a phone from its pouch you remove it from its protective enclosure and suddenly face the possibility that the now-exposed device will tumble to the ground. Kind of defeats the purpose doesn’t it?

But what if you had a pouch that was (a) so nice you wanted to find a way to use it and (b) was designed in such a manner as to reduce the frequency of having to remove the phone in the first place? That is exactly what Sena has done with the Creativo Pouch for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S so lets take a look.

From Sena:

Light rigid protection, shock-absorbent padding and a soft velvet lining in a simple slim design. The Creativo is a user-friendly solution. It is designed with cutouts positioned over the speaker, charging port, and headphone jack for unintrusive play-thru functionality. It has window openings to slide and to answer incoming calls. You can also see the name of the calling person while iPhone is in the case. It is individually handcrafted from the finest Italian Napa leather with Sena’s well-known quality and strong attention to detail. The Creativo is designed with a full top flap and an innovative magnetic closure for added protection. The Creativo’s simple pouch design with maximum protection is the perfect choice for people who wants non-stop access to their iPhone.

So there you have it. The Sena Creativo is the first iPhone pouch in quite some time that I really want to use. Yes, it does fall short in one specific regard but, overall, it is a beautiful pouch that I enjoy using. And if Sena were to make it possible to activate the Home button (and hence activate Siri) while the iPhone was still in the pouch they would reduce the frequency of needing to remove the iPhone from it even further. You can check out the various colors and order yours here on the company website.

MSRP: $39.99

What I Like: Beautiful leather; Great build quality; Classy; Available in four colors; Ability to take calls without removing the iPhone

What Needs Improvement: I wish you could activate the Home button with the iPhone still inside the pouch
