CHOETECH 50 Watt 6 Port Desktop Charger with Smart Technology Review

If you have multiple devices to keep charged such as a smartphone or two, a tablet, an eReader and a pair of wireless headphones you will love the CHOETECH 50 Watt 6 Port Desktop Charger. One device will keep you going all day and night and, best of all, it is available on Amazon at an amazingly low price.

It is all made possible thanks to “Auto Detect Technology.”

CHOETECH 50 Watt 6 Port Desktop Charger

This single multi-port usb charger has 6 dedicated, powered USB ports that allows you to recharge 6 devices at once with all of them connected to a single device. What makes this charger ideal for desk and travel use is the fact that each of the six USB ports is regulated and detects the power requirements of a connected device. Once detected it variably adjusts the power output to match the device currently being charged.

I’ve used multi-port charging solutions in the past. They worked well but, depending upon the device being charged, required you to consciously select the specific port into which the device was plugged. That isn’t necessary with the CHOETECH 50 Watt 6 Port Desktop Charger since every port is capable of ramping the power up or down as needed.

The company specifically notes that it works intelligently with both Apple and Samsung products.

The charger ships in a simple, unimpressive box. Opening the top reveals the charger itself. The rest of the package contents are beneath the interior tray. Inside the package you will find the CHOETECH 50W 6-Port Wall Charger, a five foot power cord and a welcome guide.

The charger are described as having

enough charging ports to meet the whole family’s needs, it would help you to save multiple adapters, you could enjoy all-in-one charging convenience.

The unit has “smart multi-ports” that identify the specific device you have plugged in so it can then “intelligently” meets that device’s unique charging requirements. It lets you, “get charged at its fully possible charging speed of up to 10 amps among 6 ports or 2.4 amps per port.”

It packs all this power and convenience and yet it is just about the size of a deck of playing cards. The soft-touch material is also quite nice but, unfortunately, it also means it is a fingerprint magnet that collects oil from your fingers with great skill.

This charger may be an off-label brand but it is worth noting that, in order to ensure best performance, they recommend using the device’s original cable or one that is at least certified for use with the product you are looking to charge.

  • Input: AC100-240V
  • Total Maximum Output: 5V/10A
  • Charging Port Output: 5V/10A(max)

It is worth noting that that unit is NOT compatible with Asus Transformers and iPod Classic.

On any given day I have two phones, a tablet and other assorted small electronic devices with me. In the past I carried a few wall adapters and numerous cables. Thanks to the CHOETECH 50 Watt 6 Port Desktop Charger with Smart Technology all I need is one adapter and a few short cables. I love that kind of convenience. Perhaps more significantly, I have numerous week-long trips coming in the next few months. Knowing that this is the only wall adapter I’ll need to bring is pretty awesome. Knowing that this item has an MSRP of just under $90 but is available [Affiliate Link] here on our Amazon Store for just $23 makes it even better.
