Ventev Regen Self-Healing Case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Ventev’s regen case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is like putting on a brand new case everyday with its self-healing micro filling technology that completely removes scratches. This super lightweight snap-on case thoroughly protects the back of your phone while also protecting the sides and corners. You can purchase the Ventev regen case for $24.99.

The regen case is a super simple case, but it’s got a lot going for it. I’m a fan of lightweight cases since I keep my phone in my pocket and don’t want or need any added weight or bulk. The regen case snaps on to the back of your phone very easily, yet it feels very secure when installed. It’s made of a hard plastic that weighs almost nothing, at 0.184 ounces. There are cutouts on the sides of the case to provide access to the volume buttons, mute switch, and power button. There’s also a cutout on the bottom to access the headphone jack, lightning port, and speaker.

The regen case is pretty much the perfect case for someone like me who doesn’t want the case to add any additional size or weight to the phone, but who also don’t drop their phone too often. I say that because although the regen case will protect your phone from slight drops or minor accidents, it likely will not protect your phone from hard falls, especially if the phone drops on or near the screen. You see, there’s no lip on the case that projects past the screen, which typically helps protect your screen from drops or scratches.

The self-healing, micro filling aspect of the case is pretty interesting to me. No one wants a case on their phone that’s always looking scratched and tattered, so Ventev uses a self-healing plastic that will heal small scratches in a matter of hours to keep your case looking like new. I tested my regen case two different ways: First, by rubbing a sharp mechanical pencil tip back-and-forth against the case. And again by scratching the case once with the same mechanical pencil tip.  After a couple of days, the back-and-forth scratches are still very visible and can be felt as well.  However, the single straight scratch can barely be seen or felt after a day left to heal.  I can see how this case will heal itself after small accidental scratches are inflicted, however I think you’ll be out of luck if someone takes a blade to your regen case.  Take a look at the photos below for photos of the above mentioned scratches.

Overall, I think the Ventev regen case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is a very nice lightweight case. In this case, a lightweight case makes for lightweight protection; however I think that it will be perfect for those, like me, who rarely drop their phones. My biggest wish for this case is for it to have a slight lip above the screen to protect the screen when placed screen-side down.

You can purchase the Ventev regen case for iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus directly from the manufacturer.
