Two years ago I had the opportunity to cover Belkin’s Apple Watch Power bank which at the time was the first portable Apple Watch Charger on the market. In recent years a lot of imitators have tried to clone the popular charger, so Belkin has returned with the Boost Charge Power Bank 2K, and this is why you need it.

The Belkin Boost Charge Power Bank 2k for the Apple Watch is a very stylish update to their previous model, the “Valet” in every way. Opting to go all black (aside from the Apple Watch puck that you place your watch on), the Boost Charge promises to add up to 63 hours of battery life to your Apple Watch with 2200mAh of juice when fully charged. This is ideal for me as I know when I’m out and about daily with my Apple Watch, especially when I’m at the gym, it’s nice to know that the Belkin Boost Charge will top off your battery quickly if you’re in a pinch. Here are some details of the Belkin Boost Charge 2K.

Compatible with Apple Watch

Keeps your smartwatch charged and ready to go.

2200 mAh capacity

Adds up to 63 hours of battery life to your Apple Watch so you can text and surf longer when you’re out and about.

Nightstand mode

Ensures easy access to the alarm feature.

LED indicator lights

Provide at-a-glance battery information.

Compact and lightweight design

The small size simplifies its use while traveling, allowing you to recharge your power bank via the micro USB port.

Apple MFi certified

No need to add your own Apple Watch charger, the module is included in the power bank.

Since the Boost Charge doesn’t require you to bring your own Battery charger cable, this works great for traveling for me as I hate carrying multiple cables and potentially using it. While Belkin still opted for microUSB to charge, I would’ve rathered them give us a USB-C cable to charge the battery pack.

The side of the Boost Charge gives you four dots beside the power button to signify in 25% intervals how much battery is left in the charger itself.

What I’m hoping for from Belkin is maybe a LARGER battery capacity that will allow users to not just charge their Apple Watch but maybe their Apple iPhones as well with an integrated port for charging. Not only would this be the best two for one battery charger ever. But if you are just looking for a great portable Apple Watch charger that will make sure you have enough juice to get through the day, you can’t do much better than Belkin’s Boost Charge 2K.
