BlendJet 2 Portable Blender Review: Be Anywhere, Blend (Almost) Anything

The Lowdown

My initial thought on the BlendJet 2 Portable Blender before testing it out was that it might be decent enough to take to the gym and mix up some powder drinks, but that was about it. Boy, was I wrong! The BlendJet 2 packs a punch and can mix just about anything you throw in it.

Overall
5

Pros

  • Portable blender with ability to blend frozen items
  • Long battery life; Charges via USB-C
  • Easy to clean

Cons

  • I wouldn’t mind seeing a larger version also available for pool parties or beach trips

The initial thought of a portable blender was, why? Then all of the possibilities came flooding in. Mix up a shake for the gym, breakfast on the go, or even some nice margaritas at the pool or the beach. The BlendJet 2 Portable Blender is a powerful, rechargeable option that will bring the freedom to blend shakes and drinks anytime and anywhere.

The BlendJet 2 Portable Blender is compact, measuring 9″ x 3″ and only weighing in at 1.34 pounds. The jar comes with measurement markings up to 16 oz, so there is plenty of volume to fill most on-the-go needs. In addition, the 4000 mAh rechargeable battery will provide 15+ blends per one hour charge, so it will easily make at least one shake per day during the workweek before needing a recharge.

The first thing I noticed with the blender is that it feels well made in hand. The design is tight and rugged; this is no toy blender. Charging with the USB-C (YES!) is fairly quick, and a colored light will indicate battery power. While it holds a charge really well, using USB-C to recharge makes it easy to find a power-point for most anyone.

To test out the blender, I made my famous frozen strawberry smoothie. The top-secret recipe is simple: frozen whole strawberries, sweetener, and almond milk. I chose this to test the blender since it takes some power to get whole frozen strawberries whipped into a smoothie.

The first thing I noticed while making the smoothie was how quiet the blender is. My usual plug-in blender is painfully loud. The other thing I noticed was the power. I have to admit that the amount of power a cordless blender can bring is surprising and impressive.

The BlendJet 2 had no problem making quick work of the frozen strawberries and mixed the smoothie perfectly. My youngest son watched and took a bite and simply said, “that blender is amazing!” It pretty much summed up my thoughts.

The next step is to clean the blender up. It is too small for me to fit my hands in, so I followed BlendJet’s instructions. Add warm water and a touch of dish soap and let it blend. After rinsing it out with clean water a few times to ensure the soap was all out, I had a perfectly cleaned blender ready to go.

My wife did call dibs on taking it out to the pool to make some summer beverages. The BlendJet is also super quiet and will provide plenty of uses before needing a charge. Take it to the beach, pool, gym, work, or anywhere you need to do some blending. Eat healthier and make better drinks. I can say I fully recommend the BlendJet 2.

The  BlendJet 2 Portable Blender sells for $59.95; it is available in nine color options directly from the manufacturer.

  1. Thanks. That is really impressive since some electric blenders have trouble with frozen fruit. How many blends can you get off of a single charge?
