From Jabra:

Building on years of research, innovation and engineering in sound and hearing, GN extends its Jabra Enhance™ line of hearing enhancement solutions designed to help users hear more from life. In a first-of-its-kind innovation, GN brings together the convenience of true wireless earbuds with advanced hearing technology to alleviate unaddressed user needs and enable millions of people to take a first step on their hearing health journey.

This innovation combines a discreet, comfortable design and the Jabra legacy of industry-leading earbud capability with GN Hearing’s expertise and advanced hearing-enhancing technology.

Jabra Enhance Plus Earbuds

The company describes the Jabra Enhance Plus as an “all-in-one hearable for the many people who experience mild-to-moderate hearing loss.” More than that, however, the product is geared toward those “who are not yet ready for traditional all-day wear hearing aids.”

The Jabra Enhance Plus Earbuds sit in that in-between space, and they offer a “lifestyle solution to help [wearers] hear conversation easier and better in select situations such as at social gatherings, in meetings or while enjoying media.”

To put it more succinctly, the Jabra Enhance Plus Earbuds are small, true wireless earbuds that double as a type of hearing aid/sound enhancement device. This way, consumers get enhanced sound from the same earbuds they might otherwise simply enjoy for music or calls.

Jabra Enhance Plus Earbuds

The Jabra Enhance Plus Earbuds sport an all-new design and are 50% smaller than Jabra Elite 75t. That’s a pretty impressive accomplishment, especially when you consider that the Jabra Elite 75t are already among the smallest true wireless earbuds on the market. In fact, largely due to their smaller size, I prefer the 75t over the more tech-packed Jabra Elite 85t.

But while the Jabra Enhance Plus Earbuds are a miniature version of the company’s TWE, they will still deliver great audio and call clarity. At the same time, the tiny earbuds will also provide enhanced hearing help in a small, discreet, comfortable design. As Jabra explains:

Their stylish design combines organic and modern lines, creating a desirable look both in and out of the ear.

The Jabra Enhance Plus Earbuds also work in tandem with the new Jabra Enhance smartphone app so you can personalize your experience. The app also helps walk you through the easy, one-time set-up process, so the earbuds are customized to the individual’s liking.

Their extremely small size makes them virtually unnoticeable, even in conversations, and they also perform as great true wireless earbuds, delivering a 3-in-1 experience of hearing enhancement, music, and calls. As René Svendsen-Tune, CEO at GN Audio (Jabra) notes:

By combining the expertise from both sides of our medical and consumer grade audio businesses, Jabra Enhance Plus will offer a sound solution to those of us who experience hearing challenges in everyday life. This is a game changer in giving people control of their hearing as well as delivering a great true wireless audio experience.

By initially selling the earbuds through licensed Hearing Care Professionals, Jabra is taking the right steps to ensure the Enhance Plus is the best solution for consumers. By having potential customers get a full medical hearing test and assessment, they ensure the Jabra Enhance Plus is appropriate for that individual’s specific hearing needs.

This innovation will help many more people begin their hearing health journey, by providing a unique product that can give them control of their hearing health, act as true wireless earbuds and still ensure access to professional care and counseling.

Jabra Enhance Plus Earbuds

I’m 56 and listened to a lot of loud music as a kid. Between the concerts and the closed headphones that I cranked up as high as they could go, there is no way I haven’t damaged my hearing. That damage hasn’t manifested fully yet, but I have no doubt that it will. I’m excited there is a product on the market like the Jabra Enhance Plus. I know I’ll happily get a pair when they become available.

  1. My understanding is that by marketing these to people with any kind of hearing loss, these are classified as hearing aids and are subject to various laws and regulations and require a prescription, all of which tends to drive up the prices, and this is why most similar products only claim to be for people with normal hearing who want a boost in, say, noisy situations. I also remember reading a few years ago that the head of the FDA said that the laws and regulations needed to be updated because they had the effect of limiting the availability of newer, and far less expensive, technology for hearing assistance to people with hearing loss.
