Master & Dynamic MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones Are Ready to Play

Master & Dynamic makes some of the best headphones on the market. Their MW65 over-the-ear headphones are stylish, well-built, have excellent ANC, and sound fantastic. The MW08 Sport true wireless earphones also look and sound amazing. They, too, have superior ANC and are comfortable for extended listening sessions. The newly announced Master & Dynamic MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones look to be equally impressive.

The Master & Dynamic MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones are stylish over-the-ear wireless headphones available in your choice of either black or white.

The MG20 have lightweight magnesium ear cups and lambskin leather ear pads. (M&W headphone pads have always been among the most comfortable for me.)

Never one to cut corners, the amount of thought that went into designing the earcups and headband is impressive.

COMFORT + ON-HEAD DETECTION: Ear pads cushioned with lambskin leather, an Alcantara-lined inner headband for enhanced grip, and a coated canvas outer headband offer unparalleled comfort during play and a wear that only gets better with time. Plus, for longer playtime, on-head detection preserves the battery life of your wireless gaming headphones.

In short, M&W wanted their latest product to rise to the same high standards as their previous offerings and used the quality materials necessary to make sure that was the case.

At $449, they are at the high-end of the consumer headphone market but, if our experience is any indicator, they will be well worth the investment.

As you might expect from M&W, the Master & Dynamic MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones are packed with tech.

50mm Beryllium drivers deliver booming sound. The immersive 7.1 surround sound promise an exceptional gaming experience. This is augmented by “angled magnesium ear cups and semi-open acoustics optimized for the perfect balance of sound isolation and a life-like soundstage.

And, as you know, nothing stinks as much as being mid-game and having your headphones die. Thankfully, these headphones promise up to 22 hours of playback or gaming per charge.

Master & Dynamic MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones low latency adapter.

The Master & Dynamic MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones ship with a low-latency adapter to keep gameplay and audio in sync. It not only eliminates audio lag, but it lets you switch between PC gaming and your Playstation with ease.

Master & Dynamic app

The free iOS and Google Play M & W Connect app lets you adjust the EQ, change settings, and update your headphones.

The Master & Dynamic MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones might sound like “just another pair of M&W headphones.” That wouldn’t be a bad thing, but these aren’t “just another pair.” No, the Master & Dynamic MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones have a unique feature that has me rather stoked to try them out. That feature? The microphone. More accurately, the microphones.

As you might expect, an internal microphone array is built right into the earcups themselves. These microphones provide excellent sound on my MW65, and I suspect this will be no different.

In addition, the Master & Dynamic MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones ship with a detachable boom mic that is “designed for gamers and listeners alike: the state-of-the-art detachable boom mic, which can be removed for casual listening, features a pop filter for incomparable clarity; during gameplay.”

I’m not a huge gamer, but I can see the boom mic also useful for Zoom meetings, recording, and dictation.

The new Master & Dynamic MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones take the brand in a new direction, and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next! Check them out and order yours here.

  1. Very informative review, and I really like the headphone design and placement.

  2. When you’re using the boom mic, does it use the internal microphone array to help filter out background noise?
