The Lowdown
While small in stature, the ReyLight X Vosteed Rook Flashlight is a fantastic option for everyday carry. The light is small and easy to carry, and the removable clip is perfect for pockets. The build materials and finish can take a beating. I love that the battery charges via USB-C and has plenty of power to last a long time.

Cons
Flashlight technology keeps getting brighter, and the lights are more affordable. I love carrying pocket-sized lights that are easy to conceal and have plenty of lumens. Carry lights must be rugged; added features are icing on the cake. I recently got to test out the ReyLight X Vosteed Rook Flashlight; this thing is a beast!
The Rook is the first collab light between Reylight and Vosteed. The 3.2″ long light comes in a storage box and includes a titanium clip, extra O rings, and a USB-C charging cable for the battery.
The battery is a 1100mAh 3.7V rechargeable that uses USB-C. I have used many rechargeable batteries that use Micro-USB, but I love seeing Type C being used here. The lithium battery is rated at 4.07wh.
The ReyLight X Vosteed Rook Flashlight is made of durable, oxidation-resistant aerospace aluminum, and it has IP67 dust and water resistance. It has a nice heft and a rugged feel in the hand. There are seven colors available in an anodized, abrasion-resistant finish.
I like the design of the ridges and the placement on the light. It is easy to use and easy to hold. There are even seven tritium slots (vials not included) to add a one-of-a-kind glowing look on the button end.
The ReyLight X Vosteed Rook Flashlight’s maximum output is 1800 lumens due to the three Nichia 519A 4000k LED bulbs. This light is really bright for its size and has excellent color rendering. The area around the bulbs glows green after use.
A simple user interface is included to program the light functions. There are multiple brightness options as well as strobe and SOS. Light brightness battery levels and operation instructions are available with the light as well as being found online.
It really is easy to customize the ReyLight X Vosteed Rook Flashlight for your specific needs. My light is programmed to Group 2: 10%-40%-100%. Each level of light is cycled with a half click of the tail switch.

Once the light is programmed to your liking, it will be customized to you and can be reprogrammed at any time. I have been carrying the flashlight for a few weeks and love the size as well as the light output. It includes many excellent features and fantastic build quality for the price.
Best of all, the ReyLight X Vosteed Rook Flashlight is on sale for $69 through April 20th!
The Rook Flashlight retails for $81; it is available directly from the manufacturer.

This seems like a great flashlight, though probably more than I need. Thanks for the review!
The ReyLight X Vosteed Rook Flashlight sounds perfect for me. It’s small size, long battery life & resistance to water & dust are the factors that pulled me in.
The Type C charging and the durability are big pluses!
1800 lumens for a flashlight of the that size is unbelievable!
Great price! And I like that it’s rechargeable using a USB-C to charge it. Also like the clip that I can remove so I can stick it in your pocket and the clip won’t be poking me.
