Astraware Casino for iPhone/iPod Touch Review

The folks at Astraware have done it again and released another premier game for the iPhone OS.

Astraware Casino features 11 casino style games all under one title.

Included are:  Texas Hold ‘Em  No Limit Poker, Roulette, Baccarat, Video Derby, Texas Hold ‘Em Limit Poker, Blackjack, Video Keno, Craps, 3 Card Poker, Slots and Video Poker.

The game is kind enough to load your wallet with $1,000 in cash to get yourself going.

The settings are fairly straight forward and include the ability to change the game’s sounds.

Instead of the game’s built in sound effects Astraware Casino allows you to play your own iPod music in the background while you gamble.

Each of the 11 games has its own set of instructions.

A very nice feature for those who have been wanting to learn how to play the various casino game but don’t want to do it at their own expense.

I found gameplay to be very smooth in each of the 11 games.  There was little lag at all when waiting for the dealer to make its move.

The stakes start out low for each game but as you progress throughout the stakes increase.

There is also a bank within the game where you can withdrawal additional funds once you go broke or stash away your cash for a rainy day.

The game also gives out virtual prizes that you earn by playing.  You keep these prizes in a suitcase just like you’re on vacation.

You can select each prize in your suitcase to learn more about it.

The game’s graphics are very realistic looking.

Besides Blackjack (see above) the other games look equally fresh.

The game also feature a statistics area where you can see just where your money is coming or going to and from.

This allows you to see each game and exactly how much money you’ve earned or lost.
