I love my 13” MacBook Pro with Retina display. It is fact, light and powerful. I had worried that, going down to a 13” MacBook from the 15” I loved would be an issue. It’s not. And now that I have the Moshi iGlaze Pro 13 I can protect the laptop for mere ounces of added weight.
The clip-on shell comes in seven different colors and two parts. The bottom piece clips to the bottom of the computer while the top piece, of course, clips to the top of the computer.
Here’s what Moshi has to say about the product:
Designed for owners who prefer minimalist protection, Moshi’s iGlaze Pro 13 R perfectly complements and protects your MacBook Pro 13 with Retina display. The precision-tooled polycarbonate hardshell case is thin, lightweight, and extremely durable. It also has a unique micro-clip design for easy installation and removal. iGlaze Pro 13 R is surface-treated with a specialized coating that not only offers better scratch resistance, but also accentuates the device’s elegant design. The two-piece construction can be installed or removed in seconds and is 100% compatible with Moshi’s full line of protection for MacBook Pro with Retina display.
Weighing in at just 7.4 oz, the Moshi iGlaze Pro 13 adds almost no weight to the computer. It does, however, mean that I no longer have to worry about protecting the laptop when putting it into a bag. As someone who loves to keep his devices pristine I really appreciate that.

The Moshi iGlaze Pro 13 is compatible with Retina Display MacBook Pro 13″ starting in Mid 2012 until the present. And while it won’t protect your laptop from drops it will keep it free and clear of scratches. Best of all, once the cover is in place you have all that protection while not losing even a bit of access to the various ports. That’s important since one of the reasons I opted for this computer over the new, small, thin and light MacBook was the varied ports it sports.
If I had one complaint about the Moshi iGlaze Pro 13 it is the method used to secure the cover on the computer. Small, strategically places clips come over the edges of the computer. And while most don’t get in the way, the ones on the side of the base can catch your hand if your hands are moving around too much. It is a small complaint that certainly doesn’t make the Moshi iGlaze Pro 13 any less a desirable protect. I love the review sample and see myself using it for the life of the laptop.
