Battery life can often make or break a portable device, and Lenovo has thought this through. The 55.5Whr battery supports Rapid Charge Express, giving you up to 85% juice in just an hour—perfect for quick pit stops during your day. And when it’s time to plug in, the included 65W USB-C adapter keeps things simple. After all, no one wants to be in the zone on the final boss when the battery runs out.
Connectivity is another strong suit. The Legion Go S comes with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring fast and stable connections whether you’re gaming online or pairing it with peripherals. Speaking of which, there are two USB4 ports for docking options and a combo audio jack for your headset.
At just over half an inch thick (22.6mm) and finished in an elegant Glacier White for the Windows 11 version or Nebula Violet for the SteamOS-powered one, the Lenovo Legion Go S is as stylish as it is functional. Plus, with stereo speakers that pack a punch, you can enjoy immersive sound, whether blasting enemies or vibing to your favorite soundtrack.

Lenovo Legion Go Gen 2 Prototype
The Lenovo Legion Go made waves when it debuted at IFA 2023, proving that handheld gaming could rival the power and flexibility of larger gaming setups. With its 8.8″ display, detachable controllers, dual USB-C ports, and a kickstand sturdy enough to withstand hours of intense gaming sessions, it quickly became a favorite for anyone looking to take their gaming anywhere. Now, Lenovo is teasing what’s next with the Lenovo Legion Go (8.8”, 2) prototype, and it’s shaping up to be a big step forward.
Built with feedback from the gaming community in mind, this prototype is designed for those who need power and precision on the go. It’s powered by a new AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor paired with RDNA 3.5 graphics, promising a serious boost in performance for demanding games. It also offers up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at a blazing 7500MHz, so multitasking, quick loads, and smooth gameplay are all in a day’s work.
Visuals also get a major upgrade. The Legion Go prototype features an 8.8″ OLED PureSight touch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of brightness. It also includes Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support to reduce screen tearing and keep gameplay looking clean and fluid. Whether playing fast-paced shooters or exploring a story-driven RPG, the screen promises to bring every detail to life.
Ergonomics haven’t been overlooked, either. The Legion TrueStrike controllers now have a rounded design with a circular D-pad, making inputs quicker and more accurate. This design tweak could be a game-changer if you’ve ever struggled with cramped hands after a marathon gaming session.
Storage and battery life are also top-notch. The prototype supports up to 2TB of SSD storage, giving you plenty of space for a hefty game library, and the 74Whr battery should keep you in action for hours before needing a charge. When you plug in, the dual USB-C ports make charging easy while still using accessories or connecting to an external display.
It’s important to note that as the Lenovo Legion Go Gen 2 is still a prototype, the final production version could look or feel different when it officially launches in 2025. Details like materials, color options, and even internal specs might see adjustments as Lenovo refines the product based on further testing and feedback.
Whether you commute with your gaming console or just want a high-powered setup that won’t tie you to a desk, the Legion Go (8.8”, 2) prototype gives a glimpse of what’s possible.

Lenovo Legion Glasses or Meta glasses?
The Legion Go S, SteamOS version with the Z1 CPU + 32GB RAM, that’s a real solid looking handheld! I’m interested in seeing how the Legion Go 2 pans out though as that should be the flagship with the latest and greatest.
The 1 TB of storage is nice. I didn’t know Lenova made such nice things. I’m still so lost with how to play games on it though! I have heard of steam, but have not had the use for it, maybe I need to learn a lot more about it!
