Michael Bay Leaves Samsung Press Conference Stage Due to Teleprompter Failure

When you do things live, stuff happens. That is just how it goes – technical problems, mixups and misunderstandings, and so on. They happen. As they say, it isn’t the problem but how you deal with it that says more about you. Well, at the Samsung Press Conference there was a teleprompter problem … and Michael Bay just walked off the stage. As Dan said when he grabbed the video: Michael Bay stepped on stage at the Samsung Press Conference at CES2014 to talk about UHD televisions. His TelePrompt went out of sync… And so did he. Check it out:…

Power Pillow, Take A Nap, Charge Your Phone

We all know how nice catching a nap is. What stinks is needing to charge a phone while doing so but the plug is too far away. The Power Pillow is a Kickstarter project starting at $40 and offers seven designs. Two 12,000mAh batteries come with a stylish pillow insuring the ability to relax and charge at once. Comfort meets function.

Sparkbeats Case Gives Your Phone the Gift of Light

I remember when the lighted suits in Tron seemed so amazing and futuristic. What if you could have an iPhone case with a similar look? Umoro One Simplifies Supplement Mixing and Carrying

Do you regularly mix health or fitness supplements that you drink throughout the day? Tons of people do, including my mother. Umoro has created one of the best solutions I’ve yet seen for carrying and mixing those supplements; they call it the Umoro One. $28.99 gets you an innovative shaker bottle in either black or white. The Umoro One is BPA free, clump-proof, shatter-proof, odor-free, and spill-proof. It holds 20 ounces of fluid, and the supplement compartment holds up to 100cc or 50ml. The Umoro one is dishwasher safe (top rack is recommended for the agitator and the lid), and it…

Apple Worm – the Case with a Stand and Lightning Cable

My biggest problem carrying an iPhone is having a method to charge throughout the day without carrying a lightning cable. An Indiegogo project called the Apple Worm combines a case with a lightning connector. Pledges start at $20 for 5C and $21 for 5/5S. The data cable fits as a stylish colorful strip in the case that also doubles as a stand.

Happy Plugs 18K Solid Gold In-Ear Earphones, Because You Can?

I’m the first to throw down for a bit of every day luxury, but I was still taken aback by the $14,500 hand-crafted Happy Plugs 18K gold deluxe edition earbuds. Granted, earphones can last much longer than the average mobile phone, but how long and how often would you have to keep using these to justify the price?

Commonsense.org Commercial Takes on the iPotty Concept

This year, several websites tore the concept of the iPotty to pieces, pointing out that the idea of a potty training tool with an iPad mount is weird at best, disgusting at worst. It also sends a poor message about when it’s appropriate to disconnect from technology, and this Commonsense.org commercial takes that concept and runs with it.

Dual Beer Glass Makes Black & Tans Foolproof

I’ve never tried two beers mixed together, but for some people, it’s a thing. Take the Black and Tan, for instance: one part pale ale, and one part stout, there are some who think it’s the greatest, but making one is an art. Here’s a foolproof method: use the Dual Beer Glass, and don’t sweat the mixing.

Israeli Beer That Tastes … Heavenly

There was a time when the only Israeli beer you could get in Israel might best be described as a poor excuse for beer. (I’m looking at you Macabee and GoldStar!) Seven years ago all that began to change as Israelis developed a taste for quality microbrews. Among them is an IPA from the very first brewery in Jerusalem.
