Scansnap scanners have been a mainstay of my workflow for years. Rarely does a day pass by that I don’t use one. In January, we brought word of two new scanners, the iX1600 and iX1400. This morning Fujitsu announced an addition to that lineup; the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1300 has a compact design but includes some impressive features.
Shure makes some of the best microphones on the market, and their portfolio just got a bit bigger. They’ve just introduced two new microphones, the Shure MV7X Podcast Microphone and the Shure MV88+ Stereo USB Microphone. Each serves a different kind of creative and, if past experience with Shure microphones holds as I expect it will, both will be awesome.
I don’t sleep well anymore. Some nights it takes me forever to fall asleep; other nights, I drift right off but, an hour later, I’m awake and unable to fall back to sleep. Wearing a sleep cap helps (seriously, you should try it), earplugs help, but nothing comes close to the QuietOn 3 sleep earbuds for quiet and comfort. Nothing.
Sportneer impressed us greatly when they sent over their massage guns for us to review, and I’m so glad I had them on hand for the aftermath of this review. They followed up by sending the Sportneer Half Balance Ball, and it’s inspired my trainer to come up with new and interesting ways to torture train me.
We have more pillows in our house than I care to admit, and my wife Raina hates them all. So, we’ve been trying out pillow after pillow, hoping to find “the one,” but until now, the “one” had eluded us, and we have a closet full of pillows to show for it. Then the Sleep Number PlushComfort Pillow arrived for review.
What do you get when you combine freshly roasted coffee beans grown worldwide on environmentally and socially responsible farms with a veteran-owned coffee company run by a dedicated team of firefighters, first responders, and coffee connoisseurs? You get Fire Department Coffee, a company that donates 10% of Its net proceeds to support ill and injured first responders; that’s what we’ll be taking a look at today.
The Pixel Buds A-Series has become a much-used daily carry device for me. Since I carry my Pixel Buds in my front pocket full of keys and a wallet, the white plastic case takes some abuse. For extra protection and a better look, I’ve been using the Nomad Rugged Case for Pixel Buds for a few weeks, and I’ve been very happy with it.
With the resurgence of vinyl as a popular audio medium, so too are the devices to play those records. Amazing sound mixed with classic style is always a great thing. Fender has announced a partnership with Mobile Fidelity Electronics (MoFi), the legendary foremost audio technology company, to offer the Fender x Mofi PrecisionDeck Turntable to play your favorite recordings.
Digital photo frames are all the rage these days, with most of our photos being taken on our mobile phones. Enter the new Nixplay Smart Photo Frame 10.1 inch Touch. This bright, high-definition frame has an easy-to-use touchscreen interface, and it is a great way to display your family’s precious memories.
The Player Series guitars released by Fender in 2018 reset the standard for entry-point Fender guitars and became one of the best-selling series in Fender history. The new Fender Player Plus series includes four guitars and three basses; it is the most visually striking line Fender has ever produced.
We cover many permutations of massage guns here at Gear Diary. I often get asked what makes one stand out from another. It’s not always bells and whistles; rather, it’s about making a solid and easy-to-use device that brings relief. Sportneer has nailed that with their massage guns. Today, we’re looking specifically at the Sportneer Mini 2 and the Sportneer Elite D9 massage guns.
Sometimes we get to review items that are clearly bizarre gimmicks. Other times, what starts as a silly gimmick turns out to be a legitimately useful product. When the TORRAS COOLiFY Portable Air Conditioner first arrived, I didn’t take it seriously. Did it win me over? Read on to find out!
One problem I have always had with guitar gear is the size and number of gear needed to get many great tones. For years I just used a pedal and a cheap amp and imagined what the tones could really be. The HeadRush MX5 has just been introduced, and it might be the most powerful and easiest to use compact guitar FX and amp modeling processor ever.
It’s that time of year again! As students of all ages head back to their schools and universities, whether they are attending down the block or across the country, we’ve prepared a list of back to school items that will help make the transition go more smoothly.
There are many times I find myself needing to see in dark conditions. Working on my Jeep and golf cart, hunting, fishing, or smoking meats in the dark. It seems to happen a lot, and having two free hands is always a must. The cure for that is a headlamp, and I recently got to check out the Fenix HM65R headlamp.
They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Likewise, you shouldn’t judge a massage gun by the initial impression. I was skeptical about the Addaday BioZoom Edge massage gun when I first unboxed it; the Edge was bulky and heavy compared to some of the more svelte massagers I’ve encountered in the past, and I didn’t think it would stack up given how large it was. That skepticism was before I gave it a full test run, though! Will Bluetooth and a powerful motor overcome the bulkiness? Read on to find out!
If you have trouble staying comfortable while you sleep — either because you aren’t cool enough or warm enough, this review will be of particular interest to you. In it, we’re taking a look at some of the items in the Sleep Number True Temp collection. These bedding items feature 37.5 Technology, which Sleep Number says will “continuously adapt to help keep your bed climate just right for sleeping using active particles [made from volcanic sand] to minimize humidity for ideal comfort.” If you haven’t heard about 37.5 Technology yet, that’s okay; I hadn’t either.
NO, I’M NOT STRESSED OUT, WHO SAYS THAT?! Ahem. We all have stress issues. I was talking to my therapist the other day about just how much the Plague Year increased the stress levels of everyone in general. So what do you do to cope? Meditate? Yoga? Dig into a big bag of weed? Well, being nerds here, maybe you need a gadget and an app, right? Maybe you should try the Flowtime Biosensing Meditation Headband.
Whether gaming or working, what you choose to sit on can greatly affect your performance. Everyone has unique ergonomics and comfort adjustment choices, and the Mavix M5 Gaming Chair addresses all. Add in the Elemax to keep you cool, warm your muscles, and add therapeutic massage, and we are looking at a complete game-changer.
I’ve become a bit of an accidental expert in massaging recovery tools. I’ve reviewed a few massage guns as well as a vibrating massage ball, and today we’re taking a look at another massage gun, the addsfit Elite Massage Gun. This is a crowded market; does addsfit’s contribution stand out? Read on to find out more!
The pandemic inspired many people to get back outside and enjoy biking, hiking, and other social-distancing-friendly activities. It was the inspiration for me to start biking again, and I’ve really enjoyed getting back into it with the State Bicycle Company 4130 Road Bike.
