In recent years, I’ve come to appreciate that using a standing desk can give you an entirely different perspective. The Ergotron WorkFit-P Sit-Stand Workstation for Apple lets you work in either a sitting or standing position, switching between them in seconds. Best of all, if you use Apple products it has a look that will fit right in.

Between my work as a rabbi and my writing for Gear Diary, I do a tremendous amount of writing. And when I’m not writing, I’m often doing other activities that have me sitting at a desk. That’s all good and well, except for the fact that I have, at times, suffered from various back issues. When I am in an arthritic flair and my back is painful, I find that working at a standing desk can be a huge help. WorkFit-P Sit-Stand Workstation for Apple not only looks great with my MacBook Pro, but it gets the job of allowing me to work in a variety of positions done with ease.

I received the review sample of the WorkFit-P, Sit-Stand Workstation for Apple just as I was moving my home office from a large room downstairs into a smaller, but brighter, room upstairs next to our master bedroom. I wanted an office that is small, but well-organized, comfortable and efficient. The WorkFit-P, Sit-Stand Workstation for Apple fits right in.

Think on your toes! This elegant height-adjustable platform is perfect for a MacBook®, placing your laptop wherever you want to work. Alternatively, it makes an excellent extra writing or drawing surface that moves where you do. The WorkFit-P provides an ergonomic, minimalist station that enables you to stand more and sit less, improving your creative output and overall health.

At an MSRP of $329, the WorkFit-P, Sit-Stand Workstation for Apple isn’t inexpensive. That is especially true considering the fact that in order to use the standing desk, you already need to HAVE a desk.

This is the main arm of the Ergotron WorkFit-P, Sit-Stand Workstation for Apple
and it gives just one indication of how solidly built the desk is.

Still, the Ergotron WorkFit-P, Sit-Stand Workstation for Apple is so solid, so well designed, so efficient and so impressive when it comes to fulfilling its intended purpose without the least bit of hassle or fuss, that I cannot help but see the price of admission as reasonable … If not a bargain. Yes, this is a solid standing desk that is designed for years of serious work in both a sitting and a standing position.

The WorkFit-P Sit-Stand Workstation for Apple is designed to fasten through or around the desk depending upon whether or not the desk has a grommet mount. My desk doesn’t have a grommet mount so, as you can see from the shot of the underside of my desk, I used the surface clamp.

Set up is simple. The WorkFit-P instantly creates an ergonomic, minimalist station that enables you to stand more and sit less, improving your output and overall health.

  1. Is there any wobbling when typing keyboards in standing mode?

  2. Only if I’m really banging on the keys and then it is pretty minor.
