Philips Hue Has New Home Lighting Options and a New Security System Available

I love the Hue lighting system in my home, and each year, I find ways to expand the system. That’s easy to do since Phillips Hue is constantly improving and adding new offerings! Philips Hue has announced new indoor and outdoor lighting solutions and a home security system.

Phillips Hue lighting is smart lighting that can be controlled via the Hue app or smart devices such as the Amazon Alexa system. That means I can be in bed at night and say, “Alexa, turn the Upstairs off.” And the house will go dark so we can sleep.

It’s impressive and convenient. But that’s not the only reason I love the Hue ecosystem.

In addition to the smart features, Phillips Hue offers a growing line of lighting solutions. That means you can design a system that is aesthetically and functionally what you need.

Philips Hue Dymera

With the introduction of the new Phillips Hue Dymera wall light, the options just increased further. The Dymera wall light creates an architectural look inside and outside your home with individually controllable up and down lights. As the company explains,

The Philips Hue Dymera wall light combines functionality and style, offering individual control over two beams of light that shine up and down. With its sophisticated black design, Dymera is suitable for both indoors and outdoors, where it can illuminate large surfaces with warm-to-cool white and color light.

Using the Philips Hue app, each light can be dimmed or brightened while changing the colors individually. You can also set a scene from the scene gallery for a more cohesive look.

The new 3D-printed Philips Hue pendant cord, made from 55% bio-circular material tailored for the Filament bulbs, is also on the way next month and will be $34,99 each.

In addition, Signify announced the introduction of the Philips Hue Perifo flexible connector and T connector, which promise greater design flexibility when adding track lighting to your home. How great does that ceiling look with flexible lighting against a vaulted ceiling?! The connectors will be available in the coming weeks for $34.99.

Philips Hue Being and Philips Hue Go

The Philips Hue Being ceiling light is in black and white and will arrive in March, and the Philips Hue Go portable table lamp, which will be the next addition to our system, I suspect, now comes with teal or orange grips and is available now for $159.99.

I especially love the low-profile look of the new ceiling light. It adds visual interest without dominating the space.

Philips Hue Secure and Philips Hue Secure Floodlight

The company has also announced the new Philips Hue Secure starter kit for $399.99 and the Philips Hue Secure floodlight for $349.99. After all, home lighting and home security go hand in hand.

Finally, as Phillips Hue moves into the home security space, a new Philips Hue app can be expected within the next few months to address the enhanced home security aspects of the brand’s excellent lighting and new home security solutions.
