And again they share testimonials.

I have been wearing my bracelet non-stop for the past month. I am still sleeping better and I have noticed I am not fatigued all day now. Lyndsey D

I got the sleep shirt. I noticed better sleep and less pain. Julie R.

Yikes put the Active Edge shirt on last night and out like a light, hope the same results tonight. Marie L.

Finally, the company claims that their products can increase performance. According to their studies, customers have seen results such as a 17% increase in flexibility, an 8% increase in grip strength, increased balance and increased endurance.

Active Edge is the first technology capable of infusing and embedding a recipe of electromagnetic frequencies into fabrics and other materials. Developed here in America, Active Edge reacts very positively to help the human body perform at a higher level. Medical experts involved with our clinical trials believe when an Active Edge product comes into close proximity with the body, it activates the sympathetic nervous system. This increases blood flow and oxygen intake, while at the same time decreases inflammation, which all helps the body to perform at a more optimal level. This also helps the body to recover from exercise. Get yours and start wearing it today to give yourself an edge when working out or playing sports!

And again, they offer testimonials such as:

I was amazed at how your technology allowed me to intensify my workouts and to reduce my heart-rate from 140 to 125. Jeff Kushner – PHD, Associate Professor Seton Hill University, Greensburg, PA

These are big claims that the company says are backed up by serious research. They note that, for years, physicians have prescribed pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMFT) to treat a variety of conditions, and the FDA has approved PEMFT devices to help heal broken bones, heal wounds, and treat pain and tissue swelling.

The theory for how this technology works is actually easy to understand. Still, the company uses subtle disclaimers to soften their “promises.” For example, when speaking about the medical experts involved with clinical trials, they use the word “believe” when stating that when Active Edge products come into close proximity with the body, they activate the sympathetic nervous system which, in turn, increases blood flow and oxygen intake, while simultaneously decreasing inflammation. They need to do this since the clinical trials they cite only included 2500 people. And it is based on those trials that the company claims that 90% of people wearing their products see the previously mentioned increase in flexibility, strength, balance and endurance.

To summarize, the Active Edge website states the following:

Active Edge products are geared to help improve sleep, and more specifically, REM restorative sleep. In our clinical trials participants wearing Active Edge treated products reported a significant improvement in sleep quality. This is defined as the ability to fall asleep faster and sleep longer. There was also a significant decrease in soreness, stiffness and pain form the back and neck. Study participants also reported that improved quality of sleep led to improvements in their quality of life due to an increase in alertness. If you want a great night’s sleep, wear An Active Edge sleep shirt to bed.

Thus far I have no doubt this review sounds like an infomercial for Active Edge products. I’m not aiming for that, but all of that information was necessary for me to explain why, when I read the website after receiving a $64.99 review sample shirt, I became suspicious and was slow to review the product.
