TCL’s Roku Smart Soundbar Replaces Your TV Remote with Your Voice

TCL has just announced that they’re expanding into the world of audio with their new Alto Family of products. The first release in the product line is the TCL Roku Smart Soundbar, of course, a soundbar is a natural product progression for the growing TV brand.

The TCL Roku Smart Soundbar comes complete with Roku Connect and Roku Entertainment Assistant. What does that mean exactly? Roku’s Entertainment Assistant is essentially TCL’s built-in voice assistant which lets you control your Roku OS device using your voice. So for example, you’ll be able to use the Roku Smart Soundbar to turn on a TCL Roku TV, or you can use your voice to launch video content – even when the TV is turned off. The voice control features will also let users search for content, and play, pause and resume music without ever touching a remote control or pushing a button.

Meanwhile, the inclusion of Roku Connect allows the soundbar to wireless connect to other Roku Connect devices on your network. That means that the soundbar should wirelessly connect to you TCL Roku TV sans an ugly chord. We approve!

Pricing for the TCL Roku Smart Soundbar is TBD.
