Eufy recently announced an exciting update to their powerful line of robot vacuums, the RoboVac 30C. The “C” stands for connected, as your RoboVac now can communicate via Wi-Fi with Alexa and Google Assistant as well as with the EufyHome app. With a slim body that’s only 2.85” tall with 1500Pa suction, the RoboVac 30C is my top choice.
After recently attending the Anker On Board product launch event, I’ve gotten a much better sense of what Anker strives for as a company. I was impressed how their main goal is to make life simpler for their consumers while also striving for 100% satisfied customers. I listened to Anker’s CMO, Terrance Wang, tell us about how they read every single online review of their products in order to improve future products. In that vein, the Eufy team started working to update their line of RoboVacs, starting with the RoboVac 30C.
The Eufy RoboVac 30C comes with a number of accessories that make your life easier, including boundary strips that allow you to cordon off an area. Eufy even includes a remote that allows you to give the RoboVac commands as well as acting as a controller where you can tell your RoboVac exactly where to clean, kind of like an RC car.
One of the more convenient aspects to the RoboVac 30C is the fact that it’s only 2.85” tall. This allows it to vacuum underneath couches and chairs without getting stuck and requiring human intervention. Another feature is the large front wheels that allow it to roll over rugs and flooring height changes up to 0.63” so that your RoboVac has the freedom to roam everywhere it needs to clean.
The RoboVac 30C’s battery allows it to clean up to 100 minutes per charge, so you can get super clean floors on a single charge. While it’s cleaning, it’s one of the more quiet vacuums I’ve ever heard, thanks to Eufy’s advanced brushless motor. Plus, there aren’t any loud beeps that would disrupt your sleep if you want to vacuum during the night. Another feature that reduces noise, as well as the need for human intervention, are the 9 anti-collision infrared sensors that help it avoid bumping into obstacles.
The EufyHome app provides a lot of nice features as well, allowing you to create a cleaning schedule for your RoboVac. You can also control the direction of the RoboVac, select the cleaning mode, send it back to its charger, and ask the RoboVac to emit a sound so you can easily find it if it’s lost. It’s available for iOS and Android, and you should definitely download it if you’ve got a RoboVac or any of Eufy’s smart home products. The app will also send alerts to your mobile phone notifying you when there are any issues with your RoboVac. For example, the RoboVac may get stuck, or the brushes may need to be cleaned.
Convenience has been the theme of this review, and I’ve got to say that it bears itself out in practice with the Eufy RoboVac 30C. You have multiple ways to control the RoboVac, whether it’s with the included remote control, your smartphone via the EufyHome app, or your voice via Alexa or Google Assistant. The RoboVac 30C was designed to make our lives easier and clean our homes without our intervention.
There were very few times that we had to intervene with our RoboVac, which is the whole point of the device. It cleaned well, left very few dust mites behind, and was very easy to operate. I loved the fact that we could tell it exactly where we needed to go with the remote and the fact that it could travel underneath our couch without getting stuck. It’s the robot vacuum that would improve any smart home.
You can purchase your Eufy RoboVac 30C directly from Eufy at EufyLife.com or at Amazon.

What I Like: Tons of features; Wi-Fi connectivity; Ease of use; Good suction power; Great app; Lots of sensors that allow it to rely on itself without human intervention.
What Needs Improvement: Can we build a robotic vacuum that can climb stairs? That’s what I want to see!
