How do you make one of the best pellet grills in the world even better? You make the grill smarter. Yoder Smokers has upgraded their controllers to a new Adaptive Control System (ACS) with two integrated food probes, added Wi-Fi connectivity via Fireboard Labs, and upgraded the igniter to a ceramic version capable of lighting twice as fast.

Starting at $1,570, Yoder’s pellet grills are an investment, but you’ll soon find yourself the king of the neighborhood BBQ scene with one of the most well-made grills on the market. These grills are lovingly made in the USA in Yoder, Kansas. Yoder’s grills are made of 10-gauge steel, which is made to last a lifetime.

Let’s dig into the upgrades Yoder made to their S Series of grills a little more to find out why they’re worth your consideration:

  • The Adaptive Control System (ACS) is a microprocessor that learns and adapts to the cooking environment, anticipating the fuel needed to maintain the selected temperature. The controller also allows for intuitive navigation, has a bright LCD display, is compatible with two included food probes, and can easily calibrate the pit and test all components.
  • Yoder Smokers partnered with one of the most well known wireless temperature monitoring companies around, Fireboard Labs, to integrate their technology into the S Series smokers. Using the two food probes, you can monitor your cook wirelessly using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. You can change and monitor temperatures, receive alerts, and save custom recipes for future cooks.
  • The new ceramic igniter lights twice as quickly as Yoder’s previous igniter. The ceramic igniter heats the pellets using induction heating, a method, which virtually eliminates failed ignition and has a lifespan 5 times longer than standard ignition systems.
  • New custom large orange casters make the grill easier to maneuver around your backyard, patio, or deck. Not to mention, they look sweet.

Now, I’m not saying that some of these features haven’t been done before in the pellet grill space, but the fact that Yoder is implementing these features mean that the best grills on the market are suddenly getting that much better. Suddenly the most well made, most versatile grills on the market are getting more convenient and simple to use. Yoder never wants you to have to purchase another grill ever again!

Ever since I picked up an NES controller, I've been hooked on the latest and greatest gadgets, gizmos, and toys. Whether it's gaming, mobile phones, and accessories, or PCs and Apple products, I'm interested. I use many Apple products in my daily life, such as the iPhone, iPad, and my MacBook Pro. I've also built a few PCs in my day, so I'd like to say that I'm a pretty well-rounded techie.
