Recently we tested the QX60 midsize luxury crossover utility vehicle from Infiniti, again, and we really appreciated the accommodation and quality, again. Over the past five years, I think this is the fourth model to grace our test driveway. So, what’s new?
New and improved! Oh, how I wish I had a dollar for every time I have heard that phrase. Now we get to hear it from Infiniti as they introduce the 2019 QX50 midsize premium luxury crossover. New? Yes, including an all-new type of engine. Improved? You betcha!
Several years ago I was invited to a special showing of a touring concept vehicle from Infiniti. It was called Essence, and it featured the styling trend for the future of the brand. Since then, we have seen elements appear in much of the new product including this 2018 Q50S Red Sport 400 sedan.
Despite the popularity of new smaller crossover utility vehicles, large, luxurious SUVs are still holding their own quite well. These are the modern examples of craftsmanship, design, engineering, and opulence. Perhaps nowhere is that more evident right now than in the new 2018 Infiniti QX80.
Several years ago, Infiniti went through a corporate renaming of its cars and SUVs. At that time, most of the product merely went through a name change with little else being updated. Recently the luxury division of Nissan has finally debuted its new sport coupe, dubbed Q60.
For the life of me, I couldn’t remember the last time I had driven an Infiniti sedan. It was so long ago the cars all had different names. What used to be known as the M sedan arrived in the test driveway as a 2018 Infiniti Q70L 5.6 Luxe.
If there is something very familiar with this 2017 Infiniti QX60 premium family utility vehicle, it could be that you remember its cousin we reviewed not too long ago in the form of the Nissan Pathfinder. And like the Pathfinder, the QX60 receives some nice upgrades for this year model as well.
Infiniti brings luxury back to the middle class – the mid-size crossover utility class that is. The QX that shares its architecture with the Nissan Pathfinder has returned to the Infiniti lineup after a 10-year hiatus and it arrived as a three-row, seven-passenger unibody crossover surviving a couple rounds of renaming strategy sessions and offering a choice of power trains.

Summer is calling and Infiniti is answering with its G Convertible model. Based on the stylish and sporty G Coupe, the new hardtop droptop adds a third dimension to driving pleasure from the automaker. Most of you have probably seen the Nissan commercial where a new father-to-be laments his ownership of a Z sports coupe after hearing the news his family is growing. The event takes place at the prestigious 2009 Concours dí Elegance event in Pebble Beach where Infiniti will become the first company to launch a car via a full-size virtual model.
