Decibullz Cuts the Cord on Their Custom Earphones

We reviewed Decibullz earphones last year and were impressed. The company has found a way to let people create a pair of custom earphones that are molded to their specific ears without having to incur a huge cost or see an audiologist. (Read the review.) Now the company is going wireless with their new Decibullz Custom Molded Wireless earphones.

Our CES 2016 Visit with V-MODA

The other day we published my review of the V-MODA Crossfade Wireless Over-the-Ear Headphones. I love those headphones. They are comfortable, sound amazing, and work just as well whether you use them in wired or wireless mode. During CES 2016 we met with Val Kolton, the founder and CEO of the company. Take a look!

Boomstick Lets Crappy Headphones Sound Better

Sitting on the kitchen table when I returned from CES were a pair of nondescript black earbuds. You know, the free type that reinforce the notion that you get what you pay for. “What are these?” I asked. “I used them for a conference call today,” said Raina. They were the perfect test earbuds for the new Boomstick headphone accessory. I’ll admit it. My work with Gear Diary has spoiled me. I’ve heard $1500 headphones from HARMAN that use the latest technology and were tuned by none other than Quincy Jones. I’ve reviewed Blue’s first foray into the headphone market….

Free Yourself from the Bluetooth Collar with Jaybird Freedom Headphones!

You’ve probably tried out bluetooth headphones that either have a collar, or sit over your ear before right? While that might seem practical, but when you’re in the gym, or even casually walking, they bounce around and still don’t solve the problem that plagues bluetooth headphone users. If you’re tired of that problem, you need to be checking out the Jaybird Freedoms. You’ve probably seen them in Best Buy or your favorite electronic shop and they probably have them. But after the announcement they made at CES 2016, I had the opportunity to try them on for size and put…

Phiaton Unveils New Headphone Offerings

I’m a big fan of Phiaton’s audio products and have covered many of their various offerings. The company just introduced a fresh new design to its line of premium audio solutions with the BT 460 wireless headphones and MS 300 BA earphones. The two offerings have a new look and new technology. They are updates worthy of note.

Get a Little Bit More Active with UrbanEars New Headphone Collection!

Are you looking for a pair of sweat proof headphones that will look just as good on your daily commute as they do in the gym? You might be in luck. UrbanEars announced today at CES 2016 their UrbanEars Active collection, featuring their wireless headphone, Hellas, and Ear Buds, Reimer, that will be just as functional as they are fancy. The lightweight headphones come not just corded, but also in a bluetooth version that does away with open ports for 3.5mm cables to account for a smaller overall weight and a better feeling pair of headphones. Both versions of the Active…

Blue Lola Sealed Over-Ear High Fidelity Headphones: Experience Music the Way It Was Meant to Be Heard

Last year Dan and I took a look at the Blue Mo-Fi Headphones, and to this day, they are still among my favorites. At $349, the Mo-Fi might be a bit out of grasp for the casual audiophile, though. If you don’t necessarily need the built-in amplifier the Mo-Fi sports, then you should consider the comparably built, less expensive Lola. Included in the box are the Lola headphones, a soft travel case, an almost 4-foot long flat tangle-free audio cable with Apple iPhone/iPad controls and microphone, an (insanely long) flat 10-foot audio cable, and a 3.5mm-to-1/4 inch adaptor. If you…

V-MODA Crossfade Wireless Cuts the Cord Not the Quality

V-MODA headphones have consistently impressed me with their build quality, design, and sound. In fact, V-MODA tends to serve up some of the best, cleanest audio I have ever experienced. Now they have brought that same aesthetic and audio excellence to a pair of wireless headphones. In a word… the V-MODA Crossfade Wireless Headphones are nothing short of unfreaking amazing!

Monster Clarity HD Headphones Review: This Bud’s Not for Me

Monster is synonymous with audio equipment from cables to headphones, and I was very excited to review the new Monster Clarity HD Headphones (there may have been an incident involving a toddler and my previous headphones). The Clarity’s are bud-style wired headphones, and while they look great, we couldn’t find anyone in my house who could comfortably wear them.

You Will Love the Plantronics Backbeat Pro+ Wireless, Noise Cancelling Headphones

The original Backbeat Pro was a thing of beauty. These over-the-ear headphones were comfortable, got a whopping 100 meters of wireless range, offered active noise cancellation, delivered outrageously good battery life of up to 24 hours AND sounded amazing. Now Plantronics has delivered the Backbeat Pro+ Wireless, Noise Cancelling Headphones with HI-FI USB Adapter.

The Monster Limited Edition 24K Rose Gold Over-Ear DJ Headphones Review

I never thought I’d be recommending a pair of rose gold-colored headphones, but here’s the deal: while the Monster Limited Edition 24K Rose Gold Over-Ear DJ Headphones may look like a Mardi Gras parade gone off the rails, they sound pretty darn good. Introverts and people who tend to avoid attention need read no further, obviously.

Audiofly AF78 Premium In-Ear Headphones Offer Comfort That Sounds Amazing

The other day we reviewed the Clublife Adagio Dual Driver In-Ear Headphones with Mic from Tiesto and Audiofly. Today we jump to the high-end of Audiofly’s in-ear headphone lineup… The AF78. These things are amazing. There are well-built, look great and, most importantly, the sound they offer is nothing short of remarkable. I absolutely love listening to music with them.

Optoma Steps into the Wireless Headphone Ring with the NuForce BE6

If there’s one thing that I hate the most, is going to the gym with headphones with a cable attached. Running on the treadmill is a chore with them, so I opt for wireless headphones at every opportunity. Luckily Optoma Technology has thrown their name in the hat for the crown in the Bluetooth Headphones market with their BE6 headphones.

NoiseHush i7 Noise Cancelling Headphones are Perfect for the Solitary Type

The NoiseHush i7 Aviator Active Noise Canceling Headphones provide extremely comfortable silence whether you’re on an airplane or trying to get work done in a noisy office. The i7 comes with a flat cable with 3.5mm connector to plug in to your media player to listen to your favorite tunes without added background noise. The i7 headphones retail for $99.99.

Koss Pro4S Full Size Headphones Let You Go Pro for Under $150

My first over-the-ear headphones were made by Koss. That’s going back almost 40 years. The Koss Pro4S headphones hearken back to those headphones for just $149.99. More importantly, these full size, over-the-ear headphones are super-comfortable and sound fantastic. Designed for professionals but priced for the consumer market, I’ve been more than mildly impressed by them. Let’s check them out!
