The Misfit Flash Is Half the Price of Other Fitness Trackers Listen to this article

If you’ve wanted a fitness tracker but balked at spending $99+ on something that counted your steps and tracked your sleep, the Misfit Flash may be just the device for you. Made of a “special soft-touch plastic”, this $49.99 activity and sleep tracker is waterproof to 30 meters, comes in seven colors, and it can be worn in multiple ways.

Try buying any other full featured activity or sleep tracker for under $50; I don’t think there is one.

The Misfit Flash system is probably the only fitness tracket that I haven’t yet tried. Evidently Shine — which the Flash is based on — doesn’t require charging, and it can be worn just about anywhere depending on what accessories or clips the wearer attaches it to.

Flash includes the very best of Shine’s user experience and automatically measures steps, calories, distance, sleep quality and duration, and even tracks cycling and swimming.  The entire front of Flash is a button; to check your progress toward your daily activity goal and the time of day, simply press it.  Flash syncs wirelessly with the Misfit App on iOS and Android phones.

You’ll be able to buy the Misfit Flash at Best Buy (three of the colors — reef, fuschia, and zest are Best Buy exclusives), Target, Amazon, Walmart and other retailers in October, or you can preorder yours directly from Misfit now.
