Cameraman go! Lauched by Panasonic

Panasonic has launched Cameraman go! which is a cloud based video surveillance system targetted at small to medium sized businesses. this solution consists of a wifi camera and a bundle of cloud storage.  The downside? It will only be sold by large telecoms in Europe, Asia and the Americas.  For more on this check out the full press release.


Hands-On With the HP Pavilion x360 Laptop- MWC 2014

Judie got some hands-on time with the new HP Pavilion x360 laptop. Thanks to a 360-degree hinge this 11.6″ hybrid is able to switch between clamshell and tablet mode. No, this isn’t deja vu but you have seen this before. Priced starting at $399 it has Beats Audio and surprisingly good specs for the price. Check out the image gallery.


Next Generation Yota Smartphone Revealed at MWC

At CES last year Yota introduced their first smartphone. It was met with tremendous interest due to the dual-screen technology – full Android color display on the front, read-only e-ink screen on the rear. At MWC 2014 they just revealed the 2nd generation Yota smartphone – and it is an upgrade in every possible way!


Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i Bluetooth iOS 7 Controller- First Look

On the first day of Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Judie got a hands-on first look at the Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i Bluetooth iOS 7 controller. The controller works with iOS devices running 7.0 or higher, connects via Bluetooth and has a removable clip for holding your iPhone. It will run $80 when it arrives this April. Learn more.


What’s New With Windows Phone? An MWC 2014 Update!

During her first day at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona Judie met with Gregg Sullivan, Marketing Director for Windows Phone at Microsoft. According to Gregg, Microsoft is looking to expand the Windows Phone family on multiple levels. In addition to new partners there will be new enterprise initiatives and much more. Hooked on a Feeling About the Guardians of the Galaxy Preview?

The new Guardians of the Galaxy preview from Marvel Studios (August 1, 2014) shows a good peek of the characters Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Gamora, Drax, and Peter Quill / Star Lord. I wanted more story details, but police seem to focus on Quill after he grabs a special orb near the beginning of the preview. What are your impressions?

Lenovo’s Yoga line has been a huge hit, and the company is keeping the momentum at Mobile World Conference with a new Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ Android tablet. DHL Pranks UPS and TNT in Hilarious (and Fake) Advertising Campaign

Just because everyone looks at UPS or FedEx as the big boys of shipping, doesn’t mean that DHL has to take it lying down.  To that end, DHL decided to “prank” fellow shippers UPS and TNT by printing “DHL is Faster” on temperature-sensitive paper and glued them to large boxes and had UPS and TNT deliver them to hard-to-reach addresses.

If you need a little Friday afternoon inspiration, this is it. Not sure how I missed this video of a father 3D printing a prosthetic hand for his son. This hand cost a few dollars compared to $20,000 or more for a standard one, it can be easily updated, plus it looks way cool. Click for the video.

Okay, I’ve had it! We have too many remotes! Apple TV, Direct TV, TV, DVD, Roku, a Vizio sound bar, and I may even be forgetting one! Has anyone tried one of those smart remotes with a screen? I’m considering a Logitech Harmony remote, but I’m wondering if there is something even better out there?
