Polaroid’s Remote-Controlled EyeBall Head is a hands-free way to get great panorama shots with your smart phone, GoPro, or digital camera. The rechargeable EyeBall Head turns smoothly, without any shake or distortion of the picture. Using the included remote, you can adjust the speed and degree of rotation. You can get yours on Amazon, for $49.99.

The Polaroid EyeBall Head is a great solution for anyone that’s looking to get a great photograph or video, because it’s reconfigurable. You can use your smartphone, with the included friction grip head. You can use your GoPro, with the included GoPro attachment. Or, you can use your digital camera, with the included ¼” screw attachment. You can also raise the EyeBall Head off the ground with your own standard tripod, as the EyeBall head also has a ¼” screw attachment on its underside.

The EyeBall Head features easy flip-out legs that allow it to quickly and easily stabilize itself. The flip-out legs also allow the EyeBall Head to become very small so it’s easy to carry around with you.  The EyeBall Head also comes with a velour carrying case to protect your investment.

The EyeBall Head is rechargeable with a microUSB cable, included in the package, and the battery will last for up to 3-hours of continuous use. The included remote control takes standard watch-style batteries and has a number of features, including:

  • Power on/off
  • Speed up/down
  • Rotation direction (Clockwise/counter-clockwise)
  • Shutter control
  • 10 second interval button

While Polaroid’s EyeBall Head is extremely functional and will help you take great photos, the mounting and aiming of the camera does not appear to be too adjustable. The EyeBall Head allows the camera to be rotated, however there is no option to be able to tilt the camera up or down. If you’re using a tripod, however, you’ll be able to do this on your tripod.

If you’re looking for an easy way to take great panoramic shots, you should check out the Polaroid EyeBall Head. It’s a great portable tool for photographers and videographers alike and it’s very easy to use.

I'm an architect by trade, but the overarching theme of my life has always been trying to keep up with the newest, coolest technology. Ever since I picked up an NES controller, I've been hooked on the latest and greatest gadgets, gizmos, and toys. Whether it's gaming, mobile phones, and accessories, or PCs and Apple products, I'm interested. I use many Apple products in my daily life, such as the iPhone, iPad, and my MacBook Pro. I've also built a few PCs in my day, so I'd like to say that I'm a pretty well-rounded techie.
