Looking to up your game at the next party for the family, friends, kids, or grandkids? Fobbles. Yes, Fobbles – fog-filled bubbles. Fobbles is a bubble and fog machine in one and can combine the two that will transform your party into a full-on rave.
I’ll start this review by saying that the Huawei P20 isn’t going to be as simple to buy as most other current phones in the United States, and that’s a shame. You can’t just walk into AT&T or Verizon and get one with an easy payment plan, and let’s be real, that’s going to turn the typical cellphone buyer off.
If you have been looking for an ultra-durable, insulated, food safe backpack, look no further than MUUL and its new RuckBucket. This new rig will allow you to carry just about anything into or out of your destination – be that mountain, desert, racetrack…anywhere.
I’ve made no secret of the fact that the wireless charging on the iPhone X is one of my favorite features of Apple’s current flagship phone. I love having wireless chargers around the house, at my office, and now — thanks to the myCharge UnPlugged 10K — I can have 10,000mAh of wireless charging goodness on the go.
If you are building out your smarthome you will want to check out the $69.99 Amped Wireless Smartplug AWP138W. While it is a bit on the expensive side, it is an easy way to turn a standard home electrical product into something fitting for your Amazon Alexa-enabled abode. Setup is simple and using it is as easy as speaking.
Many times I sit at my computer and type on the keyboard and I remember back to the days of my youth, hammering away at the keys of our old manual typewriter. KnewKey has debuted the Rymek retro-style mechanical keyboard that brings back a bit of that nostalgia without the muscle ache.
I recently began a two-part review of the Vivint home automation/security solutions. Read the review here before you move on to part 2. The system has definitely become an important part of our home. Part 2 will cover the Playback DVR, door locks, thermostat, smoke detector and other detectors installed.
Last weekend, my wife and I hosted an indie rock show in our living room. It wasn’t the first house show we’ve ever thrown, and it certainly wasn’t the loudest. But as I was sound checking the bands, I realized that I desperately needed to upgrade my live sound set up.
Pet doors have long been a staple of pet ownership. They make it much easier to automate the process of letting your dog or cat outside and back in again. If you have a fenced in yard, for instance, it doesn’t make sense to stop what you’re doing and let your dog in or out every hour on the hour.
As a huge fan of HomeKit products one thing that I truly longed for was an adequate surge protector. Now that Apple has begun opening up their Smart Home platform to more companies and changed their framework a bit, you’ll see more and more smart home products popping up left and right, but the Koogeek Surge Protector REALLY caught my eye.
In search of good HomeKit smart plugs that not only look phenomenal but can control all of your home appliances with ease, the iU9 Smart Power Outlet by Taiwan-based company Opro9 may be one of the best plugs I’ve used in a very long time.
In the last decade, drones have gone from the stuff of dystopian sci-fi to an integral piece of technology. Drones are changing agriculture, disaster relief, home delivery, filmmaking, and more. And they’re also extremely popular with hobbyists.
Here at Gear Diary, we’ve reviewed countless amounts of Bluetooth speakers with every bell and whistle you can name. From floating to glowing, we’ve probably seen it all. But there’s truly something to be said about the Douni A7 Bluetooth Speaker, which I’ve been testing for the past few weeks, and honestly, this has become Jess’ favorite speaker to date.
Apple’s HomeKit platform has plenty of great devices that allow you to control and monitor all of the items in your home, but one thing that I longed for ever since Apple began opening up its platform was for them to allow Belkin’s WeMo platform to join the fold.
Not long ago I reviewed Nomad’s Battery Cable. I loved it. The Battery Cable combines Nomad’s amazing USB to Lightning cable with a battery. That way, your gear bag not only has a charging cable but one that doubles as an external battery. Now, with phones becoming bigger than ever, Nomad has issued a new Battery Cable with extra juice.
If you’re shopping for a home security camera, there’s plenty of options that you can consider, but none quite like the SmartCam A1. Imagine having a home camera that you can control and rotate for a fully immersive view of the surroundings that you place them in. The company sent over a unit for us to test out, so let’s find out if this camera is really worth the hype.
We recently reviewed Utillian 721 vaporizer thanks to TVape. The company was also kind enough to also send along the ZEUS Iceborn, and we quickly came to appreciate the advantage this accessory brings to the excellent 721. The Utillian 721 delivers vapor that is not uncomfortably warm but, thanks to the Iceborn, it can be downright cool.
WARNING: The products discussed may contain or use nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical; in many cities and a few states, you must be 21 to purchase vaping products or products containing nicotine. Please familiarize yourself with and obey the law in your location. TVape offered us the opportunity to review the Utillian 721 vape and the Zeus Iceborn accessory that helps you chill out (literally) even more during a vaping session. The Utillian 721 has an MSRP of $174.99 while the Iceborn accessory is $69.99. That may sound pricey but, together, they are an absolute pleasure to use.
Since getting the iPhone X, I’ve been on a mission to place wireless charging stations in each room of the house. Until now, however, the charging pads were just that, charging pads. The Azpen DockAll D108 Fast Wireless Charging Sound Hub offers wireless fast charging for Qi-enabled phones but, as the name indicates, also doubles as charging and sound hub.
Describe your perfect laptop. What would you want? Light enough to carry every day? A brilliant and large display packed into a compact body? Powerful enough to run every program? Something with plenty of built-in ports? Long battery life? The ability to be used as a tablet? The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (2018 20LD0015US) checks every box.
Summertime is just about here, and with it comes all the new gear from NERF. Recently, my crack team of testers and I checked out a couple of the new releases for 2018 to see if they are worthy of kids big and small.
