This is a love story, but it ends in tragedy. It begins on a ranch in West Texas, travels to New York City, then Tel Aviv and then Jerusalem, and then it all ends tragically in Paris. I’m talking about my experience with the myCharge HubMax Universal, the best battery pack I’ve yet owned … and then lost.
Back in 2018, I reviewed Adonit’s original PhotoGrip, a stellar camera shutter attachment that made for better group photos and selfies. While I enjoyed it, one thing I grew to really want from it was a bit more comfort holding while shooting footage with my phone. And looks like the company listened in their updated PhotoGrip Qi.
A brand that I knew absolutely nothing about prior to receiving their products to check out on a whim have really convinced me that sometimes it’s not the name branded on the device, but the actual items themselves After testing them for the last month, Cleer’s headphones and Bluetooth speaker have left quite the impression on me.
I’ve reviewed plenty of oversized connected speakers, but the JBL PartyBox 300 takes that concept to the next level. It’s cordless when you need it to be, it has microphone and guitar inputs, it can put on a light show, it’s loud enough to fill your backyard, and man — it sounds amazing!
While I’m no real audiophile, when it comes to quality listening, I will never shy away from a good set of earphones. While I’m partial to Bluetooth wireless types, I’ll truthfully say being tethered to your device will give you better quality every time. So if you’re looking for that, SIMGOT’s EM-2 Hi-Res IEM Earphones are just that.
So here’s the thing: Yes I have AirPods, and yes they fit in my ear and I enjoy them. But the Skullcandy Indy Bluetooth truly wireless earbuds are in every way a more pleasant listening experience, for half the price.
For a company to claim that their headphones have advanced audio quality is one thing, but when they throw our the term “HDR sound,” you might be more interested in checking them out. I was sent a pair of Origem HS-3 Bluetooth headphones, and the question I have is: Should you believe the hype?
Seems like Apple is being a bit more open to other companies making better quality yet more affordable products than they can, as evidenced by Scosche releasing their new MFi-certified USB-C accessories.
We are huge fans of Master & Dynamic here, and how could we not be? Their headphones are extremely well made, and they produce excellent sound. If you’ve been looking for a great pair of wired cans, now is the time to check out their MH40 Over-Ear Headphones, as they are on sale for $199 from $249 for Memorial Day.
Anker, known for their power banks, chargers, and more, has released two new exciting power banks. The PowerCore Fusion 5000 is a 5,000 mAh power bank that is USB and USB-C compatible and doubles as a wall charger. The Powerhouse 200 is a 200Wh/57,600 mAh portable generator that boasts a 110V AC outlet, USB-C, USB, and a 12V car outlet.
Having multiple devices with me day in and day out, occasionally they will need to be charged. Now I don’t have that problem, and it’s thanks to Satechi’s 75W USB-C PD Travel Multi-Charger.
iOttie, creators of best-selling smartphone mounts and a brand I’ve trusted for years, just announced their new iTap 2 Wireless Series of wireless charging mounts. The new iOttie iTap 2 Wireless Series uses strong magnets to keep your phone secure while built-in Qi charging keeps your phone’s battery juiced.
A few weeks ago, Tejas wrote about the Stealth Labs Speaker Backpack that’s currently on Indiegogo. At the time, I thought a backpack with a built-in speaker could be an interesting idea, but only if it were executed properly. After being sent a pre-release model to try out, I’ve decided that this backpack, for what it is, is nearly perfect.
One of the best sets of wireless headphones to come out of CES this year was the Master & Dynamic MW07 True Wireless Earphones, which Greg recently reviewed. If you’re ready to put away winter’s darker colors, enjoy fabulous sounding audio, and to celebrate the cherry blossom festivals occurring worldwide, the new MW07 cherry blossom special edition should do the trick.
If you have an Android phone, you’ll generally know when fast charging is occurring because an on-screen message lets you know. On the iPhone, the only way to tell that fast wireless charging is occurring is to observe how quickly your phone charges during a time period (no, really). Apple fast wireless charging happens at 7.5W and Samsung’s happens at 10W; the Just Mobile AluBase Wireless can handle both.
Kickstarter is sort of like the internet’s science fair. You wade through a lot of random stuff to find some cool ideas, but every once in a blue moon you see a project and think “Was no one around to intervene here?” That’s my take on the LapDogg, and not just because it has a weird extra G.

I have two gear pouches, a small one for every day and a large one for travel. Each carries an external battery and a wall adapter for charging. Thanks to the [FUSE]chicken Universal All-In-One Travel Charger, I can swap the two gadgets for a single one, as this is a wall adapter and a Qi charging battery.
We’ve reviewed products from 1More before, and we’ve been impressed by the quality of their audio products, mostly because of the Dual-Dynamic drivers that many of their headphones have. When I received the 1More Stylish and the 1More DualDriver BT ANC headphones, I wondered about the differences between the two and which would be my new favorite neckband-style headphones.
One thing we can always count on is creative charging accessories from Oneadaptr that make keeping our devices powered-up a cinch. Their latest travel chargers, the Oneadaptr OneWorld PD and OneWorld Duo are made work in over 150 countries. With multiple fully grounded charging solutions built-in, they are the perfect gift for any frequent traveler.
Spring and summer are on the way. That means many activities will soon be moving outside. If you are in the market for a superb indoor/outdoor Bluetooth speaker you need look no further than the Ultimate Ears BOOM 3; now you can make it your own with the myBOOM Studio.
One of the MWC announcements that most captured my attention was for the new Lenovo Tab V7. An affordable 7” tablet, the Tab V7 is ideal for someone who doesn’t want the expense, or the juggling act, of carrying a phone and a tablet. It blurs the line between the two categories.
