Bluetooth wireless speakers have burst onto the scene like gangbusters. Recently I received a pair of BoostSound Bluetooth speakers from iClever and after spending some time with each I can see the attraction and need for items such as the iClever BTS-05 and BTS-07.
We recently reviewed the waterproof BRAVEN 105. It is a fine speaker at a great price, but for under $50 you can’t expect to get amazing sound. By spending a bit more you can up your game and get the BRAVEN BRV-1M. At $99.99 it is double the price but, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for!
So you got your shiny new iPhone 7, And you love that they came with Lightning EarPods AND an adapter. But you’ve already lost the adapter, and your favorite headphones have a 3.5mm plug. What are you to do? That’s where Griffin’s iTrip Clip Bluetooth Headphone Adapter comes in. At just $19.99 it fits any budget!
I love Audioengine speakers. The HD6 are among my favorite speakers. So I was excited to hear about the new HD3 Wireless Music System. They look like AudioEngine’s familiar desktop speakers but they’re something new. As the company explains, “the HD3 is a complete music system that allows you to listen to all of your music from any source.”
It is old news that the iPhone 7 dropped the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of wireless Bluetooth connectivity. That would be okay, except Apple has delayed the release of their AirPods Wireless Earbuds. Fear not, however, because the Rowkin Bit Charge Stereo Bluetooth Earbuds with Portable Charger are available now! They are tiny and sound great.
One thing that seems to be a constant struggle for those of us who frequent the gym is finding a decent pair of gym headphones that won’t sound distorted due to sweat after three runs. And then after that, it’s the actual price of the headphones.
If you bought an iPhone 7 you know that the loss of the 3.5mm earphone plug means a new learning curve and new ear. Thanks to iFrogz there are some great choices that won’t break the bank. The $29.99 iFrogz PLUGZ Wireless and the $39.99 iFrogz IMPULSE Wireless are two of the choices.

Crisp, clean audio is something I love and demand while listening to my favorite tunes. The new era of Bluetooth connected audio devices not only makes us wireless, but they can also sound pretty good. I recently had the opportunity to review the Chant Sport from House of Marley. The speaker costs $89.99 and doesn’t disappoint. Let’s take a look!
I’m a huge fan of Libratone’s speakers. We reviewed the first generation of the ZIPP here on Gear Diary when it first came out, and the current iteration of the ZIPP (which added Bluetooth) in both sizes a few months ago. Now we are looking at the Libratone ONE Click and … I love it.
I tried a pair of bone conducting headphones a few years ago. The idea behind them caught my eye and I found the technology quite interesting. Unfortunately, the sound didn’t capture my ears. They were barely passable. Fast forward a few years. Will the Trekz Titanium pass muster? Read on to find out and to enter to win a pair!
Raina and I are finishing up the first phase of our home renovation. When we set out to redo the kitchen and both of the upstairs bathrooms one of my goals was to add smart features wherever possible and have speakers in each and every room. That’s where the iHome iCVBT7 Double-sided Vanity Mirror with Bluetooth Speakerphone comes in!
Can a pair of Bluetooth wireless headphones that sell on Amazon for under $60 sound decent? That’s the question I brought with me when I began my review of the TOTU BT-2 V4.1 Bluetooth Headphones Wireless Music Stereo Sports Headset. While they have an MSRP of $99.99 you can get them for $40 less on Amazon.
Volant Sound is hitting Kickstarter hard with their super unique headphones; a three-in-one design that combines wireless Bluetooth headphones, wired over-the-ear headphones, and wired in-ear headphones. Instead of buying three different headphones for all of your listening situations, you can buy one set that morphs like a Transformer to give you exactly what you need. Pledge today to reserve yours!
JBL describes the JBL Charge 3 as a “waterproof portable Bluetooth speaker with a high-capacity battery to charge your portable devices.” Available in black, blue, grey, red and teal, the speaker puts out serious sound, can go pretty much anywhere you want to go and doubles as an external battery for your smartphone. At $149.95 it’s a bargain.
I had the original iPad Pro but found the size a bit of a challenge. When the smaller 9.7″ iPad Pro was released, I jumped on it. It works with the Apple Pencil but is the same size and weight as the iPad Air 2. The $129.99 ZAGG Slim Book Ultra-Slim Tablet Keyboard makes my favorite iPad even better.
The ilumi smartbulb brings a ton of features to a previously “dumb” appliance. Unscrew your boring old light bulb and screw in the ilumi smartbulb and you’ll get a highly efficient, color changing, music sync’d, presence detecting light bulb that can be controlled by your smartphone via Bluetooth connectivity. You can get yourself an ilumi A19 smartbulb for $59.99.
We are fans of JBL audio products and the new JBL Clip 2 is no exception. The small Bluetooth speaker packs a punch, but that’s just the beginning. It gets great battery life, doubles as a speakerphone, has an integrated carabiner clip, and for good measure is waterproof. And with a price under $60, it’s a steal! The speaker is…
We recently took a look at the new Libratone ZIPP MINI. I was impressed with the design, the features and, especially, the sound. The ZIPP MINI is, as the name suggests, the smaller version of the Libratone ZIPP. That begs the question, what do you get for the extra $50 you’ll pay for the regular ZIPP?
In a span of just minutes, I may find myself switching from a task on my iPhone 6S to a different task on my iPad Pro, to a third task on my MacBook Pro, and then back again. The Kanex MultiSync Mac Keyboard was designed for people like me and, I suspect, like you.
The Libratone ZIPP was one of my all-time favorite speakers. It looked great, sounded amazing, and let you customize the look with exchangeable covers. With portable AirPlay it was as close to the perfect speaker for an iOS-user as you could find. Now Libratone has rebooted the ZIPP and they are offering the smaller, and less expensive, Libratone ZIPP MINI….
