Yesterday, we were introduced to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform and the fact that it would be an integral part of the upcoming 5G network experience. Let’s dig a bit more into what benefits the Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform will provide people like us — those who use and rely on their cellphones.
I’m attending the third annual Snapdragon Technology Summit this week in Maui. Over the next couple of days, much will be revealed about how Qualcomm is shaping the next generation of 5G technology. Of course, there’s more important news to share, too.
Today, OnePlus announced their brand new OnePlus 6T, and to kick off their new flagship phone, OnePlus is announcing that T-Mobile is their first US wireless partner to carry a OnePlus device in their stores. You’ll finally be able to fondle one in person before buying!
I’m always looking for a light pair of Bluetooth headphones that sound good and are comfortable to wear, so I was pleased when recently sent a pair of the Aiwa Arc-1 Bluetooth Headphones to try. They incorporate a two-piece, stiff bio-cellulose composite speaker cone with a flexible surround, and they are not only comfortable, but they also sound great!
The only thing more sought-after than cold fusion and alchemy is a tablet/laptop hybrid that actually delivers on the best parts of each. Microsoft laid the groundwork with the Surface line, and now Samsung is jumping in with the Galaxy Book 2, boasting Windows 10, LTE connectivity, and an eye-popping 20 hours of battery life.
Last year, I reviewed the BlackBerry KEYone, and I found it to be an excellent update to the BlackBerry line. A year has passed, and the BlackBerry KEY2 is now available. Should you get one?
We’ve become used to seeing 10,000 and 20,000mAh portable batteries that cost anywhere from $50 – $100 (or more). But what if I told you that you could get a powerful 20,000mAh Orico portable battery that can charge everything from your laptop to your smartwatch for $35? You’d want one, right?
We’re freshly back from Barcelona, where we’ve seen the latest tablets, laptops, phones, and wearables. Here are our top picks for the Best of Mobile World Congress 2018.
We’ve reviewed quite a few charging stations, but never one that offered four Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 ports and a USB-C port that supports Power Delivery 2.0 Quick charge. With the Oneadaptr EVRI USB-C Charging Station, you can charge your latest-gen iPhone or iPad Pro up to two or three times faster with a USB-C to Lightning cable.
We are quite fond of ZTE USA here at Gear Diary. Not only are they the fourth largest smartphone supplier in the US, but the company continues to innovate year after year, so it’s hard to not sing their praises.
It was only a month ago that Qualcomm held their annual Tech summit, yet Qualcomm still had a lot of announcements to make at CES today.
At the Qualcomm Tech Summit last week, Qualcomm took the wraps off of their next generation Snapdragon chipset. The Snapdragon 845 offers a slew of new improvements over the Snapdragon 835, and all of these new improvements will be taking your smartphone (and even your laptop) to the next level in 2018 and beyond.
It has only been a couple of months since OnePlus released the OnePlus 5, and here they are with the newer, larger 5T. The 5T ups the ante by packing in a large 6” phablet size display with thinner bezels.
Two weeks ago, I was telling a friend that I see today’s phones as more evolutionary rather than revolutionary. She asked what I’d consider revolutionary, and I said I’d like to see a phone company create a dual-screen device that could fold into either a phone or a tablet. Would you believe that ZTE has gone and done just that?!
Can we all agree that this has been a banner year for smartphones? The other day we finally got all the details for the iPhone 8 and X; Samsung has come out with their S8 and S8+ and the Note8, and now we have the LG V30 to look forward to. The darling of IFA, LG’s newest Android flagship phone is impressive.
There are so many interesting Android phones available now that choosing a new one can be daunting. Have you considered the new LG V30? It has a beautiful screen, an exceptional camera, and lovely thin bezels. But what more does the V30 have going for it?
It wasn’t that long ago that the only Nokia phones you could buy were Windows OS Phones; I remember one of my gadget wishes being that Nokia would release their same fabulous hardware but with it running Android. That day has come, and the Nokia 6 is an excellent combo of Nokia’s fab hardware with Android OS.
Even if you’re not an Amazon Prime member, you don’t always have to wait around for Prime Day to find a great deal. One brand in particular that I really rave about to my followers on social media about is Aukey.
If you work outdoors, or you just like to spend a lot of time outside, you know that there are mini disasters that can occur which are out of your control. Dirt, wetness, and fumbling resulting in drops are to be expected, and not every phone can handle that kind of abuse. The AT&T LG X Venture, however, can.
Using a fingerprint to unlock your phone is one of the most convenient ways to make sure that your information and photos are kept locked down. But fingerprint technology hasn’t kept up with all of the capabilities newer phones sport — like waterproofing and being able to fearlessly to use your phone in the rain or in the pool.
I recently reviewed the ZTE MAX XL, and I found it to be a much better than expected phablet for anyone who needs a good phone but doesn’t necessarily want to spend $600 or more on their mobile device. Originally only available from Boost Mobile, Sprint will also begin selling this phone for $192.
