Govee has just released its latest entry in their TV Backlight series, the Backlight 3 Lite. Featuring the upgraded Envisual color-matching technology, the Govee TV Backlight 3 Lite has been upgraded and optimized with a new chip, color-matching capabilities, and light strip quality.
The upgraded Envisual technology has three main features, an upgraded chip, fish-eye correction, and upgraded RGBICW light beads. The new chip offers a 20% increase in computational power as compared to the previous generation resulting in smoother and clearer picture quality and supporting a wider range of algorithmic functions.
Fish-eye correction is achieved through enhanced color-matching accuracy by correcting the edge distortion of the screen. New to this generation, the Govee TV Backlight
3 Lite utilizes upgraded RGBICW 4-in-1 light beads which now include white beads for more accurate color rendering and finer color development.
The TV Backlight 3 Lite features a gravitational hanging design, which simplifies installation and adaptation for ultra-thin TVs. Users can use the included adhesive to stabilize it without wobbling when installing the camera.
The Govee TV Backlight 3 Lite can be paired with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings. Voice control is available through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and for the first time, Apple Home. Also, the Govee DreamView mode allows users to synchronize the lighting effects of the new TV backlight with other Govee smart lights within an entertainment ecosystem.
Govee TV Backlight 3 Lite supports Matter, making it compatible with a wider range of smart controls. This makes the TV Backlight 3 Lite a perfect choice for first-time smart lighting users looking to level up their viewing experience. The matter function will be available via OTA (over-the-air) updates in early 2024.
The Govee TV Backlight 3 Lite for 55-65″ TVs will be available on November 13th in the United States for $89.99 on Govee.com and Amazon. The larger version for the 75-85″ TVs will be available for $109.99 on December 18th, 2023.
