We’re all going through the pandemic together, yet in many ways, many of us have never felt more alone. Money worries, employment woes, health fears, cabin fever, and anger at this situation, in general, can result in irrational arguments with your partner or other quarantine-mates, angst, malaise, a general sense of depression, and anxiety attacks. Sound familiar? You’re not alone. Rootd wants to help.
In a stark reminder that we are in the middle of a global pandemic with travel bans and stay-at-home orders in full effect, the highly anticipated OnePlus 8 flagship series was finally formally announced this morning via a YouTube live stream.
Two Zagg brands, InvisibleShield and Gear4, have products that will not only keep your Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G protected from drops and scratches, they’ve also been given an anti-bacterial treatment that can “kill up to 99.9% of common surface bacteria.”

The Google Pixel 4 was released in October 2019; it was the anticipated follow-up to the Pixel 3, which has continued to be a favorite for many Android users due to its solid hardware, amazing cameras, and the stock Android experience. 6 months have passed since the Pixel 4’s release. Did you buy one? Has it lived up to your expectations?
Do any of you who aren’t professional photographers still carry around a DSLR? Or is the quality of the camera on your smartphone one of the deciding factors before you’ll buy, knowing it will likely be the only camera that you ever carry? If the latter description fits you, you’ll want to pay attention to the Huawei P40 Series.
These are some strange and trying times that we all find ourselves in, and the last thing we should be worrying about right now is paying for signs that might help make things clearer for others who show up at our homes or essential businesses. Plum Grove is making all of its coronavirus COVID-19 poster art files free to download for print and distribution.
I can’t imagine a world in which I couldn’t read anything put in front of me (assuming it was in a language I understood, of course), but for many people that is a reality. Whether because of dyslexia, illiteracy, moderate vision impairment, reading fatigue, or aphasia, many people can’t do something I take for granted. OrCam Read is here to help.
I’ll never understand why chargers with only one USB port are sold. 9 times out of 10, if you’re charging your laptop, you’ll want to top-off your phone as well. And since many modern laptops only include one Type-C port, you’re SOL unless you have a separate charger. With the Aukey Omnia 65W Fast Charge USB-C Dual Port Charger, that’s not an issue.
If you thought folding display phones were cool, then you’re going to really like the latest concepts from TCL. Why stop at a folding display when you could have a tri-fold display or even cooler, a flexible scrolling display? Here are what some future TCL smartphones could possibly look like…

For those reasons and many more, adding security cameras around your home’s perimeter can give you peace of mind, and the Arlo Pro 3 system is a great choice to consider.
Folding displays may be the future, but that doesn’t mean the tech is quite ready for everyone’s use or that everyone will even want it or will want to pay for it. The LG V60 ThinQ 5G gives you a gorgeous metal and glass slab with excellent specs that can be turned into a dual-screen device when needed.
There’s a lot of buzz about folding displays right now; in the US, we have the OG Samsung Fold along with the new Samsung Z Flip and Motorola Razer flip-style phones from which to choose. Huawei dazzled us last year with the China-only Mate X. Today, Huawei has introduced its next-gen Mate Xs with almost worldwide availability.
This is a sponsored post; we received compensation from SanDisk, but all opinions are the author’s. It wasn’t so long ago that 1GB seemed like an astronomical amount of memory, but now it’s passé. Most laptops come with at least 512GB, and now you can even get a 1TB flash drive that’s about the size of a child’s thumb for less than $300. Crazy, right? Say hello to the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe USB Type-C Flash Drive.

I’ve avoided adding a grip to my phone because, quite simply, I hadn’t found one that I thought added enough features to make adding its bulk to my phone worthwhile. The Ohsnap phone grip changes all of that. I was a backer when they were on Kickstarter, and the Ohsnap has quickly become indispensable.
