TiMaG Engineered Titanium Magnets Are Strong, Cool, and Useful

I’ve enjoyed playing with magnets since I was a kid; I think that everything about them is fascinating, and when I find strong magnets that also look cool, I generally can’t resist getting a set. TiMag Engineered Titanium Magnets fit the bill, and I have some coming soon. Why should you back this Kickstarter project? Well … According to their PR, this is the kind of magnet that Super Man would use — it might even be “the strongest magnet in the world! It’s so strong, it’s up to 50x stronger than any normal refrigerator magnet! Not to mention it’s made from Grade…

Edyn Smart Garden Launches Kickstarter Campaign

It seems like everything these days is hi-tech, except for the great outdoors. Maybe it’s time to change that. The folks at Edyn want to give you a “smart garden” with their new Edyn Kickstarter campaign. Using a combination of WiFi connected devices in the garden and an iOS app, Edyn hopes to revolutionize the way we all garden.

The Handiheadset Will Guarantee a Second Look

Can you imagine pulling out the Handiheadset when making a call at the office? Okay, maybe it wouldn’t be much fun, because you might look like someone who’d had an allergic reaction while trying a new hand cream. Even so, if the ‘huge hand to face’ is a look you’ve wanted to rock, you’ll probably love the this. Making a call on a Handiheadset puts a big smile on everyone’s face. Shaped like an oversized hand giving the ‘call me’ gesture, the Handiheadset plugs into the headphone jack of your mobile phone. It has a built-in microphone and high quality speaker so you can comfortably talk…

Can the Made Simplify Your Kitchen and Make You Eat Better?

If the idea of bringing home bulk beans, lentils, rice, and loose grains causes you to get nervous because you don’t want to figure out cooking measurements, but you know you need to integrate these healthy items into your diet more, then The Made might just be a Kickstart project that you should back.

LuneCase Offers Battery Free iPhone Notifications

Here’s another cool Kickstarter project, and one of the most useful that I’ve seen recently. The LuneCase utilizes the “leaked” electromagnetic energy from your iPhone to show notifications about incoming calls and text messages on the back of your phone before they ever show up on the screen of your smartphone. No battery power or Bluetooth connection is required.

DieselStörmers Live on Kickstarter – the Failed Effort Re-emerges!

Back in July of 2013 I wrote about Project Ravensdale from Black Forest Games, noting that their success with the multi-platform hit Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams made them a trusted developer. Ravensdale’s Kickstarter failed, and now after regrouping Black Forest Games has named the final game DieselStörmers and launched a new Kickstarter and they’re well on their way to $50,000!

Kickstarter Campaign Says Letter Writing Isn’t Dead

Some crowdfunded projects are wacky, some of them are cool, and some of them are just downright charming. That’s definitely the case for the World’s Smallest Post Service DIY Activity Kit currently on Kickstarter, which aims to bring back letter writing! Your $29 pledge gets a complete letter and package kit in miniature, with enough materials for 24 letters, 6 packages, and one very cute 3D mailbox.

Dart Laptop Adaptor Gets Kickstarted

You take your laptop on the go and even though battery life has improved the need for carrying a charger is still a constant if you plan to be out for more than a few hours. Thankfully a new Kickstarter project that will have you covered. The Dart Laptop Adaptor is being advertised as, “the world’s smallest laptop charger.”

Peacekeeper Mini: Prepare for Absolutely Everything

Just when you thought you’d seen it all, another “interesting” crowdsourced project comes to light. I’m all for being prepared–I keep a roadside emergency kit in my car–but sometimes you can take it just a bit too far. That might be the case with the Peacekeeper Mini, a combination flashlight and pepper spray with bluetooth/GPS “crowd alert” technology.

MyTask: The “Swiss Army” iPhone Case

Smartphones are great, and for many people they replace quite a few things, from alarm clocks and day planners to cameras and GPS. But sometimes you need something more than just your phone, and the MyTask case aims to make that easier than cramming the pockets on your cargo pants. Need a pen or spoke wrench? This case has you covered.

Create Your Own Watch Thanks to Modify Watches

Imagine if you could pick from one of more than thirty different watch band colors and then design your own watch face. That’s what the Mod-To-Order project on Kickstarter is all about. Modify Watches is looking for $50,000 to make it happen. Having received some early samples of the watch, I sure hope it is successful. Here’s a closer look.

SipSnap Turns Any Cup into a Sippy Cup

Babies not only require a ton of stuff, but they constantly rotate in and out of all that stuff. Just when you’ve mastered bottles, it’s time to move on to sippy cups. It’s a never ending parade of plastic pieces, but the Kickstarter project SipSnap hopes to make the transition easier with universal sippy cup covers!

Color Cables Glow, End Fight Over Whose Cable Is Whose

Color Cables is an Indiegogo campaign running through midnight April 6, 2014. Their goal is to raise $20,000 with which they hope to offer cables for charging and synchronizing your MicroUSB and iOS (30 pin and lightning) devices. But these are no ordinary cables; according to the company each cable glows, is colored, and won’t tangle.
