I recently reviewed the Pitaka MagCase for iPhone, the same model case as the one that protected my iPhone X for over a year. I couldn’t see getting an iPhone 11 and not having a MagCase on it; it’s great, but if you need extra protection, you might want to check it the highly-protective $49.99 Pitaka MagCase Pro.
More and more these days, you can’t trust people to tell the truth. Not long ago, I had someone accuse my son of hitting a car. I wish I’d had the Z-edge Dashcam in his car then, but I am glad I have it now. Let’s see how good it is at doing its job.
Quero shoes are handmade in Spain. As the company notes, Quero offers, “an old way of making shoes… a new way to buy them.” I received a pair of their Mercer Oxford, and they have a new customer. The shoes look amazing, seem to be crafted with excellence, and, most of all, they are incredibly comfortable. I’m buying boots next!
I’ve found my favorite smart home controller and its name is Brilliant. With a name like that, it could be difficult to live up to the hype, but the features and performance do just that. With a vivid touch screen display, Amazon Alexa built-in, and lots of smart home device integrations, it’s difficult to beat the Brilliant home control.
The other day I reviewed mophie’s 3-in-1 charging pad. It’s ideal for someone who has an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPod’s with a wireless charging case. I have an iPhone. I have an Apple Watch. But I don’t have AirPods. Mophie’s dual wireless charging pad isn’t specifically designed for AirPods so, for me, it is a better option.
We got a dose of winter a few weeks ago here in the northeast, and I was once again reminded that I hate the cold. But winter will soon be here, and anything that helps keep me warm is welcome in my home. The Comfy is a simple idea, but one that I’ll be wearing all winter long.
It would be easy to discount a portable speaker that comes with a built-in light show as a jack of all trades and a master of none, but in the case of the JBL Pulse 4, doing so would be a huge mistake. The Pulse 4 delivers 360º sound and an LED light show that can both soothe or enliven.
Anker Innovations, one of our favorite gadget manufacturers has been working diligently to release new chargers and accessories for the new lineup of iPhones. Mophie was one of the first companies to offer battery cases for the iPhone and other mobile devices. In the years since, mophie has emerged as one of the premier mobile device accessory companies. Now, with wireless charging becoming ubiquitous, mophie is adding new wireless charging devices to their catalog. The mophie 3-in-1 wireless charging pad is one such accessory.
When you talk about mobile phone protection, one name comes up over and over again: Otterbox. My wife refuses to buy a new phone until there’s an Otterbox case to protect it. Otterbox built a reputation for cases that can put up with all sorts of abuse and their new line of cases for the iPhone 11 is no exception.
Some time ago, I reviewed the iFrogz Airtime Truly Wireless Earbuds plus Charging Case. They surprised me. The small, inexpensive earbuds were not only comfortable and offered a secure fit, but they sounded pretty darn good. (Read my review.) The $69.99 iFrogz AIRTIME PRO True Wireless Earbuds offer a more AirPod-esque design, but are they worth the extra money?
Lately, I’ve become a huge fan of one-pot meals. There are fewer dishes to use or clean, and everything gets tossed in at the same time. Typically when you think of one-pot meals, “Instant Pots” or “Pressure Cookers” come to mind. But if you want to cook a tad bit faster and don’t mind using your stovetop to get the same results, you should really check out Zavor’s Stovetop Pressure Cooker.
One of the new devices that caught my eye at CES this January was the Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant. It wasn’t just that this particular smart display was sized similarly to a traditional bedside clock, it was that all of its features had been thoughtfully curated for bedroom use.
There are countless numbers of Bluetooth speakers on the market today. Some float, some glow, and many unfortunately still charge using micro-USB, but one speaker that has truly amazed me over the last few weeks is the SOUNDBOKS.
Until very recently, wireless headphones were seen as premium items but with fewer and fewer devices coming with headphone jacks, having affordable wireless headphones has become important. Mixcder HD901 headphones offer fantastic value for anyone looking for wireless listening without breaking the bank.
If you’ve been looking for a reasonably priced robot vacuum that’s sole focus is to spot clean your home with little to no effort, you should check out the Roborock S4.
Designed to protect your personal items when you’re at the beach or by the pool, beachsafe is a product that my mother showed interest in for her travels. Beachsafe sent me one to review, and for her most recent tropical trip, my mother took it along, and she had nothing but positive things to say about it.
Two of the biggest things I’ve longed from my Airpods seem simple enough — Active Noise Cancellation with a battery life of longer than 3.5 hours. And if they could come in black, that wouldn’t be bad either. Luckily with the AU-Stream ANCs, I finally might have all of the things that I wanted.
Evenflo has stepped up their game with their new Pivot Xplore All-Terrain Stroller Wagon and the new Evenflo Gold line. The All-Terrain stroller wagon is a popular new category in kids’ gear and Evenflo joined the fray with an affordable wagon with some great features. Plus, the new Evenflo Gold car seats have an elevated design aesthetic and are feature-filled.
I usually upgrade my iPhone every year but The iPhone X was an exception. I had it for a full two years. Most of that time it was protected in a Pitaka MagCase Judie had reviewed. When I had my new iPhone 11 on the way, I knew I needed to protect it with something similar; I ordered a MagCase from Pitaka.
Where do you stow all of your electronic accessories when you travel? If you’ve been guilty of tossing your charging cables, USB dongles, USB hubs, and other “stuff” into the bottom of your backpack or a pocket in your suitcase (as I have), then you’ll appreciate the organization and protection the Oneadaptr Evri Accessories Pouch will give your gear.
