A few years ago, the following video started burning up YouTube.
This time of year is super crazy here in Texas. As I chase the Friday Night Lights dream, I find myself constantly on the road. There are no charging stations on football fields and school buses. I always need a way to keep my phone charged often deep into the night. The RazorMega ($69.99) from MyCharge looks to be the perfect tool.
Standalone, uni-functional gear is fine, but a piece of equipment that can multitask is even better. The Plux wireless charging pad from Vinpok is one such item. It can wirelessly charge not only your phone but your Apple Watch and Airpods too, all at the same time and doing it standing up or laying flat.
The world is a big place filled with people who speak an amazing array of languages. Not speaking the native tongue of a particular country can seem like a huge barrier when considering travel there. Having a local friend who can translate and help you communicate is ideal but not always possible; Travis Touch wants to be your local friend.
NordicTrack has long been known for their high-quality home exercise equipment and they do not disappoint with their Grand Tour Series of exercise bikes. The NordicTrack Grand Tour series starts at $999.
We’ve made no secret of our fondness of Jabra’s audio products. They sound fantastic and, with each iteration, get better and better. The Jabra Elite 65t and Jabra Elite Active 65t are no different. They are comfortable, hold a Bluetooth connection well, get good battery life, and sound amazing. Priced at $169.99 and $189.99, they even work with Amazon Alexa!
I split my time between writing freelance, playing music, and helping my entrepreneur wife run her makerspace. So as you can imagine, I’m on the go a lot. I visit a steady rotation of local cafes, bookstores, and libraries — laptop and smartphone in hand so I can do my work, stay in contact with clients, and work on music.
You finally got that new car you’ve always wanted and you even sprang for the connected car services. So when you come out and find the window shattered or a large dent in the fender, why didn’t your car tell you (or anyone for that matter) that something had happened? That’s where Bmmpr steps in.

We recently reviewed the iHome iAV2. It’s a speaker dock that not only gives an Amazon Echo Dot much-improved sound but also doubles as a bedside clock. iHome also offers the iAV5B. It too greatly improves the sound from an Echo Dot but, while it lacks a clock, it adds something rather fun. Its lights make your music a visual treat.
Samsung first introduced the Galaxy Note series in 2011 with a huge stylus-driven 5.3″ screen and a direct appeal to power users who wanted more than current small-screen devices could offer. Today a variety of smartphones with screens larger than 5.3″ are available bearing a ‘Plus’, XL or other monikers to differentiate them.
For the longest time, there had been about only one name in the noise canceling headphone market. They provided a good product but at a high price. Enter ELEPAWL and the EP6 Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Bluetooth Headphones that offer the same technology but at a very reasonable price.
Regardless of whether you’re a gamer, podcaster, or just dong voice-overs, the one thing you need to have is a really good microphone. While you can probably find a cheap microphone to get by with for a while, we’re sure you’ve also looked at microphones from Blue.
I’m not one to spend a lot on clothes. When I need new suits, I wait for a sale at Joseph A. Bank. When I need new casual clothes, I wait for a sale at the Gap. But, after getting the $158 Passage Pant from Olivers Apparel, I was reminded that you often get what you pay for!
I constantly misplace my wallet so, for the past year I’ve kept a Tile Slim tracker in my wallet. Now Nomad has released a minimalist wallet specifically designed for use with a Tile Slim. I’m a fan. The $79.95 Nomad Slim Wallet with Tile Tracking is gorgeous. A Tile Slim is included, and there’s a special slot just for it.
Sun-kissed skin may make you look healthy but as we know, excessive exposure to the sun can cause irreparable damage. As a parent, I try my best to protect my children’s skin from the sun by using highly rated EWG sunscreen and SPF clothing, which is why Waterhoody is now one of my essential summer items.
Not long ago we reviewed the Cori HD home security camera system from Momentum. Recently we have been testing the new Aria Floodlight with WiFi Camera from them and we have been significantly impressed.
Over the past week, I began and finished my first custom PC build (look for my upcoming article detailing my experience and insights). Intended for everyday use, yet powerful enough to handle the major AAA game releases for the foreseeable future, I decided it was time to finally upgrade my standard headset and mic that came with my Xbox.
We have a number of Amazon Echo Dots in our home. They are a great way to inexpensively get into the Amazon Echo ecosystem, and the 2nd generation Dots work incredibly well. Still, the anemic speaker and lack of a display are far from ideal. Enter the $69 iHome iAV2. I describe it as a “clock dock for your Dot.”
The understands EVO 1 is a sustainable hardwood stand that elevates your iMac for an ergonomic viewing experience. With undermount technology built-in, your iMac integrates into the wooden stand for an uncluttered and organic effect; cable management and a storage drawer complete the custom organization. I like an uncluttered desktop, and I like the look of hardwood; this looks promising.
