I recently recounted my horror at dropping my iPhone 5S. I was relieved to realize that just the glass screen protector broke, and the iPhone was fine. The only bummer was the fact that I no longer had a pricey glass screen protector. Three days later the Armorz Stealth Extreme Lite Tempered Glass for Apple iPhone 5s arrived for review.
The Armorz Stealth Extreme Lite Tempered Glass is the thinnest tempered glass protector I have tried. At just 0.2mm thick, it is treated with a high degree of chemical strengthening. The result is that it exceeds the hardness of steel. As the company notes,
- It is designed to survive in tough environs and is compatible with most types of cases on the market.
- Stamped with 8H hardness to safeguard the device from heavy-duty scratches and abrasions, and ensures protection against impact from wayward objects by effectively absorbing the impact.
In addition to its clarity and strength this screen protector is compatible with most cases, fully covers the front of the phone, and has an oleophobic coating that reduces the appearance of fingerprints.
In the package are:
- The Precision Cut Screen Film
- A Cleaning Micro-Fiber
- Armorz’s Installation Kit
The installation process was quick, the screen protector went on without a hitch, and I now have an extra layer of protection back on my phone. All is, once again, good in the world.
The Armorz Stealth Extreme Lite Tempered Glass is a great option if you want to protect your iPhone 5, 5S or 5C. At $34.95 it isn’t cheap but it adds a terrific layer of protection without adding weight or bulk.
MSRP: $34.95
What I Like: Thin and light; Adds terrific protection; Applied easily
What Needs Improvement: $34.95 for a screen protector. Ouch.
