The JamSpot by Bracketron Is a Great Way to Dock Your Tablet

If you are one of the few people who still use a tablet instead of an enormous smartphone, or even if you have both, you’ll know that attempting to dock them in places like your bed, on planes, or while even just sitting right there on your desk at work, there are few options that offer up with Bracketron’s JamSpot can do.

The Frogurt is Also Cursed, or, Why Smartphones Have Become Boring

One of my favorite exchanges in “The Simpsons” comes from “Treehouse of Horror III”, where Homer goes to buy a doll for Bart and has an exchange about the tradeoffs (doll is good, but cursed, but comes with a free frogurt, also cursed). It seems like the same good/bad tradeoffs exist in smartphones these days as well!

My First Week with the New Helix Sleep Mattress

You know what’s better than a good night’s rest? A good night’s rest on a mattress that you helped create, according to how YOU want to sleep. There are plenty of mattresses on the market, but are you ready to spend thousands for comfort — especially when you can do the same thing for less money?

Box Appetit Makes Packing Lunch Fun!

I try to pack my lunch daily, in an effort to both save money and make sure my lunch is healthy. We also pack food all the time for my son with food allergies. So in my house, we appreciate a good lunchbox, and the black+blum Box Appetit has definitely met our high standards!

Gear Diary Book Club Round 2 Is … Ender’s Game!

Hope you all enjoyed reading The Man in the High Castle! We’re sticking with sci-fi (and war, for that matter!) again, this time with Orson Scott Card’s classic Ender’s Game. Technically this is a young adult novel, but the themes, violence, and metaphors mean you get a very different experience reading it as an adult.

What do you mean Back to School? The summer is already over? Well not really, but everywhere you go, you will see businesses advertising Back to School Specials. But this year you shouldn’t just send your child back to school with a boring calculator, binder, and a few packs of paper; here is our must-have Back to School gift guide.

Soundfreaq Sound Kick 2 Kicks Out the Sound for Just $100

At $100, Soundfreaq Sound Kick 2 is bound to impress. The speaker is powerful, portable, and water-resistant. Better still, while looking to update the original Soundfreaq Sound Kick speaker, the company made sure to stay focused on their main objective: small speakers offering great sound. In the process, they created a speaker that can go anywhere — including the shower.

The Buffalo MiniStation Extreme NFC Hard Drive-Fast, Secure, Portable

Hello Fresh and The New iPad App Might Turn Me Into a Cook!

When I moved into my own apartment back in January I initially planned to eat all of my meals either out or as prepackage, already prepared food. I quickly found that this was not healthy nor financially wise. That’s why I was excited to check out Hello Fresh, their food delivery service, and their new iPad app. I’m a fan! As you may know the company provides a number of different recipes each week. You order from them and they deliver all of the items you will need to prepare your food. It’s all properly packaged and ready to go…
