A worldwide leader in desktop computing and various other products for both business and home office processionals, Kensington made multiple announcements that are worth checking out.

Four products were announced by Kensington including their ultra-soft ErgoSoft Wrist Rests, a Laptop Locking station, Verimark Fingerprint Key, and a Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station, and all promise to accent your new laptop in a great way in 2017.

“Keyboards are getting slimmer, but wrist rests are not”, stated Arita pan, Global Product manager of Kensington. As a result, Kensington released a suite of ErgoSoft wrist rests for everything fromMechanical and Gaming keyboards, standard mice, standard keyboards, slim keyboards, compact keyboards, and even a slim mouse and trackpad combination.

“The new line of wrist rests by Kensington finally gives options for support with several different types of keyboards,” said Melanie Berry, MPT, Vertical Ergonomics.“The keyboard user is no longer stuck with the choice of only one sized wrist rest. Kensington’s varying sizes of wrists rest can accommodate the ultra-slim to the mechanical, or the compact to the natural. As a Physical Therapist and Ergonomics Specialist, I am very thankful for Kensington’s new line of wrist rests. The variety of sizes and shapes enable me to recommend the ideal wrist rest to fit the different shapes and sizes of keyboards, mice and touchpads.”

Next is the SD500T Dock by Kensington, a game changer that can carry up to 40Gbps of data in a single port that can not only give you support for dual 4K video, but with eight times the speed of USB 3.0, you will get up to 85-watts of laptop charging power. You don’t have to just be a graphic designer or content creator to appreciate this Thunderbolt 3 Docking station, because no matter what type of productivity you intend, the SD500T works. More speed, more pixels, more power, and with Zero Footprint Mounting, you can reduce desktop clutter all the while having the most versatile connection to various displays and data devices.

All of this but what about security? Kensington has you covered there too. As computers continuously advance, they also tend to get thinner which can be compromising in terms of their security. Kensington has your back though as they’ve released the Laptop Locking Station 2.0, and the VeriMark Fingerprint Key. The Laptop Locking Station is a low-profile solution that gives you adjustable arms on each side of the locking station that will accommodate laptops from 11-inches all the way to 15.6″ in screen size. After adjusting the arms to fit your laptop and lock it into place courtesy of the included MicroSaver 2.0 Keyed Lock on the side of the locking station.

If that doesn’t fit you, you can use the innovative VeriMark Fingerprint Key that is engineered to protect against unauthorized access on compromised devices thanks to two-factor authorization and support of both Windows Hello Fast Identity online (FIDO). One of the smallest touch sensors available, the natural ID solution combines biometric and advance encryption to give you the highest level of security possible.
