Roku Rolls Out Smart Home Products to Make Your Home (Almost) as Smart as Your TV

We sing the praises of Roku often here. They’re branching out further now, taking their smart home integration to the next level with their own brand of smart home products!

Roku is designing a slew of new devices in partnership with Wyze Labs, and the initial batch will be offered through Walmart. There are no specifics on pricing except that the devices will start at $27, but Roku always tries to balance great features with affordability.

You’ll be able to control the devices with a Roku voice remote as well as Roku phone apps. One very cool feature: you’ll be able to pull up who is in front of a Roku video doorbell while you’re watching tv. Now you won’t have to get up to tell the Optimum Online folks that no, you still won’t be switching to their service, and could they please stop asking?

If you’ve been looking to outfit your house with some smarts, Roku will be launching their portfolio with these devices: floodlight camera, indoor/outdoor camera, indoor 360-degree camera, video doorbell, smart bulbs, smart LED strips, and smart plugs.

Make your home marginally smarter starting today at Walmart and Roku.
