Back in September, Moshi announced their Mythro Air and Vortex Air, two bluetooth headphones that showed their ability to branch away from Moshi’s history of making cases and accessories for smartphones.
Having an Apple Watch is quite the struggle when you’re on the go all day, only to look down at your battery midday and it’s already low. It’s almost as bad as having a low phone battery, but what if I told you there’s a product that could eliminate low batteries on both simultaneously?
We see some very odd product pitches here at Gear Diary. Every once in a while, we get one that is odd all by itself, but then the marketing material just zooms it right past ludicrous speed to plaid…and that’s where the Hand Liberation folks landed with The Butt Case.
What makes a great gaming headset? Beyond sound quality and an excellent microphone, what else would you like to see? I think that a proper gaming headset should be light enough to wear for hours, durable and comfortable, but I also think that they should offer usage options. The Fnatic Gear TMA-2 Duel Modular Gaming Headset does just that.
Of all the Bluetooth speakers I’ve reviewed, the Honeycomb Sound Wireless Bluetooth Speaker has to be the most unusual — in looks, anyway. The honeycomb body is made of ABS plastic (I thought it was aluminum at first) with iron speaker grilles; the design is beautiful, but how’s the sound?
Olloclip burst onto the scene a few years ago, and they proved that while the iPhone’s camera might be great, this accessory could make it even better. The company has since rolled out numerous iterations of their lenses and kept adapted to each new iPhone design. The Core Lens Set is designed to work with the Apple’s latest and greatest.
Kickstarter is an interesting marketplace. On the one hand, it sometimes produces truly interesting products, but it also attracts companies who interpret Kickstarter success as an excuse to shoot for the moon (cough, Pebble, cough), as well as companies that see Kickstarter as a source of easy money, with no intention of delivering exactly as promised. Juicies cables are rapidly looking like the latter.
It’s easy to get caught up purchasing only brands that you recognize or using price as an indication of quality when shopping for a Bluetooth speaker, but by doing that you lose out on a lot of really great options. One item that you might miss if you shop like that is the TimoLabs Corbett I S Waterproof Speaker.
Not your ordinary set of earphones, no sir. I recently had the opportunity to test the new ROAM GameON in-ear headphones and they seem to have set the bar higher when it comes to portable music and gaming. Co-created by ROAM and Atari, the new GameON units begin arriving just in time for the holidays.
Scosche is known for their great quality speakers in the past, and I was recently given the chance to review the BoomBOTTLE H2O+. Once again, the brand does not disappoint with their new waterproof portable speaker; it has a beautiful design and even better sound.
Have any plans of getting an iPhone 7 for the holidays but looking for a nice and inexpensive leather case to go with it? You might want to check out the Beuno Cases for the iPhone 7/7+.
Bluetooth speakers have become quite common and almost like a tool. The SuperStar HotShot by Monster ($49.95) is a super compact speaker with the ability to clip onto a backpack, jacket, or belt. Does a speaker this small still bring sound worth listening to? I was able to review the HotShot and my findings might surprise you. Let’s take a look.
Speck’s new Presidio line offers impressive drop protection while only adding minimal bulk to your iPhone 7 or 7 Plus. The Presidio cases are made with a polycarbonate outer-layer and a layer of Speck’s own shock-absorbent rubber called Impactium on the interior of the case. Speck’s Presidio cases are available in a number of finishes and start at $44.95.
As I’ve previously noted, I’m a huge fan of Audioengine products. The HD6 are among my favorite speakers and the B2 resides in our bedroom. So color me surprise that I think the HD3 Wireless Music System is AudioEngine’s best offering yet. These may look like simple desktop speakers, but they’re a complete music system packing Audioengine’s best audio tech.
About 6 months after I purchased an Apple Watch, I stopped wearing it. While I’ve missed the convenience of wrist notifications, I never got comfortable with wearing what amounted to a microscopic and hobbled iPhone on my wrist. I prefer a more classic wristwatch style, but I also appreciate something smart; enter, the Engineered by HP Coach Bleecker Smart Watch.
If you have an iPhone 7, one thing that you’ve missed the most is the headphone jack. There have been countless times I’ve grabbed a pair of headphones out of my drawer to try to listen to a podcast only to remember that they have a 3.5mm jack at the end, and they now no longer serve any purpose to me.
Over the past few years, we’ve reviewed a number of speakers from BRAVEN. INCIPIO’s acquisition of the brand clearly hasn’t slowed the pace of development. If anything, the exact opposite has happened, and there are a host of new products being rolled out. The BRAVEN 105 is the first of three we’ll be looking at in this review series.
Do you frequently work out but find yourself wanted a pair of over-the-ear headphones that won’t cost you a fortune but look and sound like they were expensive? Are you tired of wearing in-ear headphones that will dangle on your shirt and annoy you as you lift?
If you have an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus but looking for a bit more protection, you really need to check out Moshi’s AirFoil Glass screen protector. We had the opportunity to check the latest product from Moshi out, and see if it’s durable enough to fit the normal wear and tear a smartphone typically endures.
