Boombotix’s Boombot Pro is the latest in a growing group of pocket bluetooth speakers available out on the market. Not only is the speaker made to be used on the go, but you can certainly use it while in your home.
A goal of nothing – zip, zilch…zero. Quite ambitious, don’t you think? That is mantra over at GoalZero – getting the world off the grid and relying on absolutely no fossil fuels or infrastructure for electrical sustainability. Recently I got to test a small part of their mission in the form of the Venture 30 Recharger complete with Nomad 7 solar panel.
The Jabra Sport Coach Bluetooth Headset are great for athletes but you don’t have to be one to appreciate all these sub-$150 wireless headphones have to offer. I can’t run without music and these Bluetooth headphones are, by far, the best way yet to cut the cord and go for a run. They are comfortable, stay put and sound great. The Jabra Sport Coach Bluetooth Headset are, “wireless sports earbuds with intelligent audio coaching optimized for cross training and indoor workouts. With integrated cross training app.” In this review I’m going to focus most on the headset simply as a…
Griffin is one of our favorite accessories companies here at Gear Diary so when I received Griffin’s Identity cases for the iPhone 6 Plus, I pretty much already knew to expect a quality product, but got much more. I had the opportunity to get three different models of the Griffin’s Identity series: Tennis ball Green, Blue with a clear back, and a black wallet case. Now usually I’m not a fan of wallet cases because I think they are a bit corny, and I feel strange having my credit cards exposed when I have my phone out to text,…
We have a lot of gadgets. And they all need to be charged. Sometimes at the same time. Why? Because we use them. So when the iClever USB travel Wall Charger came to my door, I instantly was excited. The travel wall charger is yet another great item from iClever, who is known for creating products that you wouldn’t typically think you’d use, until you actually find out you need them. Having multiple battery packs to charge, as well as a smartphone and a tablet, on top of now an Apple Watch that needs to be charged daily, iClever’s six…
You can never have too much protection for your smart phone. And when I say protection, I don’t mean those filmy screen protectors that you can get from your mobile provider in those three packs. Get yourself a quality protector!
Sometimes you can’t find your remote, but you can be certain your smartphone isn’t far from your reach. So when your remote is on the other couch and you’re too lazy to get up, that’s where Pronto’s Universal Remote comes into play.
I am always looking for ways to augment my iPhone photography, ever since it became the “camera” I carry with me every day. And since olloclip came on the scene a few years ago, I have been looking forward to testing one of their lens attachments. I recently got that opportunity with the olloclip Active Lens.
Even as device batteries become more efficient, our constant use of them and the power-hungry apps we employ find us needing to utilize battery packs more and more. Most battery packs resemble either a small paver stone or are a battery case type giving us more heft and bulk in a pocket. Enter the Rokform BackPack backup battery.
Taking group photos are hard, yes, even on an Android. I don’t care what feature Samsung places in their commercials, there’s something pretty cool (albeit corny) about a selfie stick. So when Satechi sent over their Bluetooth Smart Selfie Extension Arm monopod, the first thing that came to mind is “I finally get to try one!!”
I feel like I have an addiction: Battery Chargers. I hadn’t found one that will charge all of my devices collectively at night when I go to bed, or whenever I’m traveling, hold up enough juice to last throughout the day. It’s safe to say that has changed.
One thing that my girlfriend got as a gift from her boss was a car mount for her phone. It was a white elephant gift, and although the value it cost them was probably about $7 bucks, she uses this everyday on her daily commute to and from work to house her phone.
You’d be surprised how dirty your phone truly is. Most of us take our smartphones with us everywhere. The doctor, your kitchen, the bathroom. You can only imagine how disgusting half of the places you take your phone, then right after put it to your ears and mouth to make a call. Our bodies can only take so much.
In doing gear reviews, we get to test some pretty cool things – you know, those hot ticket items. This is one of those gadgets, and in case you didn’t guess suspect something from my adjectives I am talking about the Seek Thermal Camera for the latest iOS and Android devices, and it comes in normal and extended range versions.
I use my iPhone to take almost all of my photos anymore; the 6 Plus’s camera is excellent, but it does have limitations. I first found out about the Ztylus case and Revolver 4-in-1 lens system at CE Week, and it intrigued me; after several weeks of use, I figure it’s time you found out about it, too.
Do you have way too many things to charge and not enough outlets to charge them all? Or do you have annoying little USB cubes in every port with one or two devices charging and want to free up clutter?
The Olloclip is a 4-in-1 photo lens for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. It’s a lightweight clip-on camera lens, compatible with both the front and rear-facing cameras. The included lenses are fisheye, wide-angle, macro 10x, and macro 15x. The Ollocase protects your phone while providing a perfect fit for the Olloclip. The Olloclip and Ollocase together sell for $99.98.
Are you hard on your cables and have a serious problem with paying for a new one every time yours shorts or frays? Well lucky for you there’s someone who had the same issue that created a solution called the Tudia Klip.
If you have one of the phablet type of devices like the iPhone 6 Plus or Samsung Galaxy Note 4 you know one thing for certain. Attempting to juggle typing one-handed on it is not the easiest thing to do while multitasking.
Obviously there’s no shortage of docks for the iPhone, and with a new Apple Watch dock coming out every other week, the competition continues to heat up this summer. but there’s one dock that’s actually intriguing, and their Kickstarter tells the tale.
Let me just get right to it, I was absolutely skeptical about this product when I first read the press release – a power bank that will jump start your car. Really. I can charge my cellphone OR jump my car if the battery dies. Really. The Gooloo GF01 Jump Starter Power Bank works, folks. Really.
