The Future Is All Screens All the Time According to Dell’s Future Predictions

One of the best things about CES is learning about the future. Companies announce what’s definitely coming, but they also talk about their ambitious projects, the ones they’re still refining but show the direction they see for the future. Dell showed us two concept PCs this week that aren’t yet available but indicate where Dell sees the future of computing, and it looks amazing!

Lenovo’s ThinkBook Plus Is a Different Kind of Hybrid Laptop

If there’s a specific computer niche out there, someone has designed a device to fit it. It might seem weird to the average person, but depending on your needs it could be the perfect machine. That’s the sort of world the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus inhabits, as it is both an eInk tablet AND a full computer!

Lenovo Lets Out Their Inner Gamer with Legion Notebook and Accessories

Gaming computing is a whole different world; while business laptops focus on portability and battery life, and consumers want thin and light, gaming is all about power and shaving precious seconds off every mouse click and keystroke. And the new, refreshed lineup of computers showcases how many different ways Lenovo can take laptops to the next level.

But do make a decent video requires a good microphone. I’ve tried a few, but MXL Podcasting APS Bundle promises to make it even easier.

Lenovo Jumps into the Folding Game

Were you super intrigued by the Samsung Galaxy Fold but skeptical about the benefits in a phone-size product? Lenovo is taking a whack at folding screens with a new Thinkpad X1 folding prototype-basically, a folding laptop. That runs full Windows. If it works, this is a game changer.

Toshiba Renames Themselves Dynabook, Embracing Dynamic Changes

Big news if you’re a fanboy of Toshiba computers (hey, everyone needs a hobby) — they’re renaming themselves “Dynabook”, both in the US and around the world. This does not appear to change anything, except that next time you’re in Best Buy wondering if “Dynabook” was a character in The Incredibles*, you’ll remember it was actually Toshiba. The branding is already live on Toshiba’s website, and they’re using it as an opportunity to showcase the company’s long legacy of technological advancement. It’s actually pretty neat, explaining how Toshiba’s roots include early washing machines, televisions, and of course, early computers. Definitely…
