The IK Multimedia iKlip Studio is, “A sturdy, adjustable stand for iPad and iPad mini” and it works well. Priced under $30, it creates a stable base for your tablet whether you are a musician or simply want your tablet at a stable, easy-to-read angle. It folds flat, is easy to transport, easy to use, and works well! IK Multimedia notes that the iKlip Stand is designed for musicians. In fact, on the product page they say: “Let’s face it, there’s enough pressure in the studio without having to worry about breaking your iPad. We’ve elegantly solved this problem with…
How’d you like to put your iPhone into a case that could survive just about anything short of a nuclear blast? If your job takes you outdoors on a regular basis, or even if you just want to know that your phone will be safe by the hot tub or pool, the LUNATIK TAKTIK 360 could be your perfect solution.
The IK Multimedia iRig Acoustic is something totally new and hugely innovative. As the company notes it, “Reinvents Guitar Miking for Mobile” and does so in a smart, innovative way that musicians are going to love. It is the first acoustic guitar mobile microphone/interface for use with iOS devices, Macs and Androids too! It is nicely-priced and easy to use! As IK Multimedia explains, “Now acoustic players can get stunning, studio-microphone quality sound for recording and live performance from any acoustic guitar anytime and everywhere.” iRig is the best-selling mobile interface of all time. With the iRig Acoustic it is,…
If you’ve already invested a lot of money in an indoor portable speaker, you’ve probably caught yourself babying it. It doesn’t go outside, and you would never allow it to fall — on purpose, anyway. But wouldn’t you like to have one that you could take everywhere without worry?
Monster is synonymous with audio equipment from cables to headphones, and I was very excited to review the new Monster Clarity HD Headphones (there may have been an incident involving a toddler and my previous headphones). The Clarity’s are bud-style wired headphones, and while they look great, we couldn’t find anyone in my house who could comfortably wear them.
One thing that I’ve always hated when it comes to external battery packs is their bulky size when it comes to actually putting it in my pocket when on the go. Luckily when Mogix sent over two of their slim external battery chargers, I found my new favorite way to keep my phones charged up. Mogix Accessories sent over two models of their battery pack, the 5000mAh, and the Slim fit 10,400mAh units. Now first off, can I just say, carrying around an iPhone 6 Plus, anything less than 3500mAh I won’t even bother to use as a battery pack,…
It seems like there’s a new battery pack released every week, and as a reviewer it is easy for me to become jaded — thinking I’ve seen it all. You really need to bring something special to the table if you want to wow me, and that’s exactly what the Techlink Recharge 5000 has done.
This post brought to you by 3M. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Gear Diary. Your information belongs to you. It’s more valuable than just about anything else you own and yet, when working in a public place it it open and available to anyone passing by your device’s screen.
Until recently, if you used an iPhone you had only two real choices in smartwatches: Apple Watch or the Pebble line. Android users, on the other hand, had multiple companies vying for their business including Sony, Samsung, LG, Acer, Huawei, Motorola, Alcatel and others. Android Wear for iOS has given iPhone users options; now there’s a real smartwatch selection.
The other day we reviewed the Plantronics Backbeat Pro+ headphones. I love them but Raina, who likes their sound, found them too big, bulky and heavy on her head. She’s right. Thankfully, I also have a pair of Plantronics Backbeat Sense Wireless Headphones on hand for review. They are light, comfortable and sound great; even Raina was impressed by them.
One of the things that I loved about my monogram Louis Vuitton Zippy organizer wallet was its design. It could hold all of my credit and ID cards, bills, and plane tickets in one compact, zippable clutch The only thing it couldn’t do was hold my phone; if it had a little bigger pocket, it would have been perfect.
I’ve been on a kick lately where I haven’t had a case on my phone at all, but that’s not very smart — especially considering that my phone is brand new, and I need to keep it pristine for when I ultimately eBay it. Using the new Just Mobile TENC Self-Healing Case is the next best thing to being naked.
Halloween seems to bring out the SPOOKY SALE in everyone, and Just Mobile is no exception. They are hosting a 40% sale on various aluminum, leather, or aluminum and leather cases with AutoHeal Screen protector combos. Side Note: I just reviewed the AutoHeal, and I love it. For a limited time you can get the AluFrame Leather + AutoHeal (iPhone 6/6S), the SpinCase + AutoHeal (iPhone 6/6S), the AluFrame + AutoHeal (6/6S), and the AluFrame + AutoHeal (6 Plus/6S Plus) for $39.90. If you’re looking for a great case and a fab protector, now is the time to make your move!
The OnePlus One was one of the best-priced Android phones to come out in the last few years; made in small batches which created demand from those without invitations to purchase, it combined many of the features that people liked from different phones to create one single shockingly inexpensive, well-built and well-featured device. Dan and I both bought one.
Yesterday Verizon and Motorola announced two new Droid smartphones; the Droid Turbo 2 with an “indestructible” screen, and the Droid Maxx 2. On paper, the Turbo 2 is the real story; the screen, 48 hours of battery life, and tons of customizations. The Maxx 2 has a lot of that, minus the indestructible screen. Oh, and it costs only $384.
If you’ve been eyeing one of the ultra-protective LUNATIK EPIK Apple Watch cases I reviewed last month or one of their excellent iPhone 6 cases, today is your lucky day!
Blue, a company that has impressed us with their excellent headphones and microphones in the past, has just dropped Lola, their newest high-fidelity headphone.
Okay, I have a bit of an addiction when it comes to Bluetooth stereos, and I’m running out of rooms that I can put them in, but I can honestly say that the Sound Blaster Roar 2 is special and becoming my favorite.
Even though the iPhone 6S Plus sports “Dual Ion Exchange strengthened glass” (whatever that means), I still don’t want to take a chance with scratching my phone’s screen. I could use a glass protector, but those have edges that stick up and fall short of the iPhone’s curved glass. My near total coverage solution? The Just Mobile AutoHeal screen protector.
Wallet cases. Not everyone gets them right, but luckily when I received the jimmyCASE, I’m happy to say that they indeed did get it right!
