Garia: Golf Cart made by the hands that build Porsches

The Garia Golf Cart is a truly unique vehicle for the links.  Made at the same factory where both the Porsche Boxster and Cayman are born, the Garia features the same level of meticulous attention to design and luxury. The cart features a built refrigerator, hand-stitched seats, and an exclusive personalization program where you can choose to have the Garia painted in your favorite color or matched to your other cars. The Garia features a double wishbone front suspension similar to those found in sports cars and inspired by Formula 1 cars. The drive train is built by an Italian…

iClassic Review: iPod Classic Emulator for iPhone OS

While it’s true the iPod which is bundled on the iPhone and iPod Touch is pretty slick, sometimes you just have to break it down “old scho0l.” Check out my video demo of “iClassic” for jailbroken iPhones, which emulates the iPod Classic in every which way right on your iPhone. It’s just amazing.

First Impressions of the Barnes & Noble nook

All day I have been perking up at the sound of trucks on the street, each time hoping it would be the UPS truck delivering my much-anticipated Christmas present from my wonderful husband–the brand new Barnes & Noble nook eBook reader. My husband pre-ordered my nook on the very first day, so I knew I would get it before December 9.  I did a little dance of joy yesterday to learn that he had gotten the tracking number for the shipment and that the nook was winging its way to me overnight!

The HeadBlade, solving the tough task of head shaving

I’ll just come right out and say it.  Are you balding?  Are you man enough to admit it and instead of trying to cover it up with hair replacement, comb overs or some other method you simply choose to do “manly” thing and just shave it all off? Or could you have a full head of hair but like the clean, smooth look of your bald head?  Are you BBC (bald by choice?) If you answered yes to either of the above questions then the HeadBlade is for you. The HeadBlade, which is used by countless bald celebrities makes the…

NFL Quarterback Challenge for iPhone OS Review

As a youngster I can remember watching various NFL quarterbacks compete in challenge events during the off season.  Often times the events took place in Hawaii or some other tropical paradise and I had dreams of being my favorite signal caller competing in the various challenge events. The NFL and ProAppSports recently announced the immediate availability of NFL Quarterback Challenge game for the iPhone OS.  The game allows you to test your QB skills and accuracy as you navigate the QB of your favorite NFL team through a series of challenges just like those old TV specials.  NFL Quarterback Challenge…

Universal iPhone/iPod Cradle from USBFever Review

iPhone and iPod docks are great.  They keep your device upright while charging and syncing which allows you to easily access them.  They look cleaner on your desk and there’s no fussing with cables or connector plugs that might become damaged from overuse. But docks are not without flaws.  Many docks are device specific.  One that you purchase for your iPhone may not fit your iPod Classic and so forth.  Another problem is cases.  Most of us carry our devices protected in some sort of case.  Often these cases prevent the device from fitting properly on the dock which means…

PhotoCopy Mobile by Wizcode for Windows Phone Review

Most of you usually use your device’s in-built camera for catching some quick shots of friends and phone numbers, but have you ever thought of using it as a scanner? Honestly, I never really had until not too long ago when Wizcode released their latest application, PhotoCopy Mobile. PhotoCopy Mobile uses your Windows Phone’s in-built camera as a scanner, allowing you to ‘scan’ documents on-the-go, converting them into PDF files, which you can then archive or email. Features:- Archive and share documents on the go Photocopy text, magazine pages or other printed materials Scan business cards, recipes, meeting memos or…

InfeCCt iPhone Game Review

I like puzzle games quite a bit.  I travel a lot, and so even though I enjoy things like Dark Nebula, Earthworm Jim (yay!), and Cro-Mag Rally, puzzle games like Myst or Beneath a Steel Sky or Bookworm or Glyph are better for me, as they are easy to stop in the middle, the time pressure isn’t a big issue, and I don’t have to worry about being jostled or hitting air-pockets and losing a life as a result.  Thumb-twitch games are tough on the heavy traveler.  So I’m big on puzzle games.  (Also card games, but that’s another review.)…

Overboard & Snappy for the iPhone

For those of you who are running jail-broken iPhones take note.  We’ve seen some really amazing releases over the last few days. I’ve chose to highlight two of them in the video below. Overboard, which is essentially a version of the Mac utility Expose, makes it really easy to jump around your iPhone’s various springboard pages.  Overboard is available for $1.99 via the modmyi source. And Snappy allows you to quickly access the camera application from any screen including the lock screen allowing you to be able to quickly snap pictures when you choose.  What’s really great about it you…

My iPhone Epiphany: Why “Perfect” is the Enemy of “Good Enough”

Most would argue that the iPhone is the best smartphone out on the market today. I have disagreed in the past, however, my perspective recently changed… I have loved the iPhone since it first came out, but have been bothered by its lack of “advanced features”. You know the list of complaints. No copy and paste (until recently). No multitasking (still). No MMS. Multitasking specifically is a big gap in the iPhone’s capabilities in my mind. But that all seems moot to me now. You see, I was on a trip overseas to visit my wife’s family. Her sister wanted…

Razzle is stuck inside a cage at the top of pyramid of wooden crates and other cages.  The goal is to remove all the surrounding items allowing Razzle to safely to the ground. It’s…

Custom iFrogz Luxe Case for iPhone 3G & 3Gs Review

Last week I told you about the launch of the new iFrogz Luxe custom case. I personally love custom cases.  There’s nothing worse than being in a crowded room of iPhone users, looking around and seeing that many of them have on the same case you do.  It’s sort of like two stars who end up wearing the same dress on the red carpet of the Oscars.  It just isn’t pretty. Being able to design your own color combination almost insures you will not run into that problem. Well iFrogz was kind enough to let me go through the entire…

Living With A Motorola Droid: My First Week

Actually, make that “Living With Motorola Droids.”  Yes, Droids, plural.  My initial intention was to post my first impressions of the Motorola Droid after just a few days with it.  However, the first Droid that I picked up started locking up and spontaneously resetting itself on the first day I had it, and it continued to do so two or three times per day.  A few times it wouldn’t power on at all, and I had to pull the battery in order to get it to restart.  The upside, if there is one, is that none of the resets seemed…

iPhone 3G/3Gs Razor Skins from JAVOedge Review

JAVOedge has released a new case for the iPhone 3G and 3Gs.  The Razor Skin is a lightweight silicone style case that’s rubberized texture offers a good grip and slip protection yet it remains soft to the touch. The case is available in two unique styles.  Blossom and Cortex.  Each style features a laser cut out etched pattern on the back that includes a translucent layer which allows your iPhone to shine through the back. JAVOedge was kind enough to give me both cases to review.  Here are my thoughts.

Otterbox Commuter and Commuter TL Colors for iPhone 3G &3Gs Review

A few weeks ago Dan and I took a look at two new cases for the iPhone 3G & 3Gs from Otterbox. The Commuter and the Commuter TL both offer Otterbox’s tremendous quality in a slimmer, less bulky manner than Otterbox’s most famous case, the Defender. When the cases first launched they were both available in only black with the promise of various color options to come. Fast forward to today and the color pack add-on backs for the Commuter and the colored Commuter TL cases are now shipping.

Shinnorie GEN Label Custom Skinny Slim Bag Review

I recently reviewed Shinnoire‘s custome iPhone Leather Flip Case.  I had a lot of fun selecting my personal color choices for the case.  It’s not often you get to pick and choose the exact colors which will go into your case and then have it personally hand crafted. Shinnorie offers the same level of customization for their bags as well and I was also allowed to custom build a laptop bag for review. The bag I had built is their Skinny Slim Bag.  It’s a slim bag good for short trips, daily commutes to and from work or meetings.  The…

Socialize for iPhone OS Review

If you’re into social networking chances are you visit several of the more popular sites.  Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and more.  On your computer at home it’s easy to do on your web browser.  On your iPhone it can be done as well but most of us choose to have an individual application installed on our phone for each of the social networking sites we’re subscribed to. Socialize, from Anthony Geranio, seeks to combine multiple social networking sites into one compact, easy to navigate iPhone application.

WW2 Beachhead for iPhone OS Review

Sunstorm Interactive is quickly becoming one of my favorite developer of game applications for the iPhone OS.  I recently reviewed their Real Deer Hunting application and found it to be quite entertaining. Now Sunstorm is back with a new title, WW2 Beachhead.  Here’s how they describe the game play…… Buried in a beachhead bunker, players must demonstrate courage, quick reflexes and decision making ability to stand their ground against the attacking enemy. You play as the last units remaining at the critical line of defense where you fight against ever growing hordes of soldiers, shattering tank fire, and strafing gunfire…
