TripIt Is Now Your Airport Sidekick

TripIt has been my go-to app for travel, hands down. I track all of my flights instantly thanks to the Pro features, but when I’m in the airport, I’ve always thought the app could be more useful. Luckily the company thought this as well, and they’ve released an update that its users will enjoy.

The OnePlus 5 Now Comes in a Limited Edition Soft Gold

I loved the original OnePlus phone and was even more taken with the OnePlus 3. While I haven’t had a chance to check out the new OnePlus 5, I have little doubt it is a winner. And now, as a limited edition offering, the OnePlus 5 comes in Soft Gold; retailing for $479 it looks amazing!

Brooks Cascadia trail shoes have long been seen as some of the best on the market. Hulu Live TV Service Launches on Amazon Fire Devices

Hulu Live TV (currently a beta) launched in early May of this year, and immediately put competition like SlingTV, DirecTV Now, and others to shame. Boasting 50-plus channels, multiple accounts and DVR for $40 sounds like a Cord cutter’s dream. And starting today if you have an Amazon Fire TV, you can experience it for yourself. Initially, when launched, the Live TV service worked primarily on five devices: Apple TV, Xbox One, iOS and Android mobile devices, including the Google Chromecast. However many cord cutters, including myself, longed for the service to create an app for the Fire Stick. Well,…

Meet the 13th (Sort of?) Doctor in Doctor Who!

I am not always a regular watcher of “Doctor Who”, but I always enjoy the show when I remember to watch it. Personally, my favorite season was David Tennant and Catherine Tate, because she was a tough woman who rolled with the insanity that is travel with The Doctor. It’s so hard to judge from a teaser, but I get some very “kicking ass and taking names” vibes from the reveal of the new Doctor, Jodie Whittaker!

Here’s Why You May Be Suddenly Prompted for a New Verizon PIN

If you’re a Verizon customer and find yourself suddenly prompted to reset your PIN, you may not be alone. Word started to trickle out yesterday about a security breach which may have impacted up to 6 million Verizon Home customers.  The issue appears to be related to an error in how some data was secured on a public cloud server.

Beetology Has Made Me a Beetliever

Forgive the bad pun in the title but I couldn’t resist. In all seriousness, when we were invited to review Beetology drinks I wasn’t all that enthused about an organic version of V8. The bottles arrived on Thursday, and I’m writing this review already because I’ve already finished half the samples!

Xennial is a Dumb Name But It’s Better Than Millennial

My Facebook page exploded last weekwith friends posting about how the media has finally figured out a name for our generation-Xennials. Basically, Generation X thought they were too cool for us, and we’re way too cool to be Millennials, so they created a terribly named “micro-generation” just for us. If you’re not sure where you sit, if you were born mid-1960’s to the late 1970’s, you’re considered Generation X. Millennials are often considered everyone after that until the late 1990’s, but that’s not really fair to those of us from the late 70s/early 80s. My brother is on the early…

Focal Adds New Headphones to Their Already Fab Lineup

Last year, I reviewed the Focal Listen Headphones; even though they were wired, I thought they were excellent. It was only a matter of time before Focal introduced a Listen wireless version, and now it is here. They’ve also added two in-ear headphones to their line-up: Spark and Spark Wireless.
