Charge Your Apple Watch in Style with the HoverDock

Since the Apple Watch has been updated to include Nightstand Mode, there are many new options for charging the watch overnight. I recently was able to review the HoverDock by Just Mobile which retails for $34.95. Basically, it is a minimalist way to charge the Apple Watch while using it in Nightstand Mode. Let’s take a look.

Speedify Gives You Better Internet & Data Speeds on All of Your Devices

As a huge fan of using Speedtest.net to test the speeds of my internet connection, both on Wi-Fi and LTE, I’ve always seen ads for Speedify and wondered exactly what the program would do to actually help speed up my performance. So when I had the opportunity to review the iOS app for Speedify, I was intrigued. Now just to start, I am by no means a wireless networking guru, but I do find myself frustrated with a slow connection. Recently I’ve been traveling a lot, which means plenty of hotels with crappy internets speeds, and pricy “upgrades” for “less-crappy-but-still-not-good”…

Lifeproof for the 6s Plus Fixes Case Issues, Adds Variety Of Colors

Unless you’ve lived under a rock the past few years, you might have heard of Lifeproof, and know about all of their accessories for your smartphone, be it Apple or Android device. Lifeproof was nice enough to send me over their more recent NUUD case for the iPhone 6s Plus, and honestly, compared to my review last year, there are a lot of positive changes that I do enjoy! If you’ve used Lifeproof before, you know that they are one of the best Waterproof iPhone cases on the market. There are a lot of imitators on Groupon (which you shouldn’t buy), but none quite are…

The Mars Speaker Levitates, But Is The Sound Quality Out of This World?

We’ve reviewed many Bluetooth speakers on the market, but none quite like the Mars Levitating Bluetooth Speaker, and that is actually a good thing. Created by Crazybaby, the Mars speaker is the world’s first and only levitating speaker that not only looks cool, but it’s pretty damn impressive in terms of audio quality as well. Originally an Indiegogo project that was successfully funded back in 2014, the Mars Speaker arrived in beautiful fashion to my doorstep, and from setup to use, everything about the Speaker has been excellent, minus one or two things. Retailing at $329, the speaker is by no means…

‘Email’ by EasilyDo Is the Closest We Will Ever Get to the ‘MailBox’ App Again

There are a lot of email apps out there in the app store that feel as though they are helping out your productivity, but none are quite like Email by EasilyDo, a new mail app that not only will help you get your inbox emptied, it will also help you in terms of your productivity. Over the past month in a private beta, I’ve been testing out Email by EasilyDo, and it’s become a fixture on my home screen. I’ve tested many other email apps, and other than the native mail app and Google’s own “Inbox”, there are certain things that I…

Timbuk2 Medium Copilot Luggage Roller: Ready for Globetrotting

You already know about Timbuk2 because of their excellent bags, many of which we’ve reviewed or mentioned here, but did you know that they also make rolling luggage? On my trip to the IFA Global Press Conference, I knew I’d need to live out of one carry-on bag for one week. Was the Timbuk2 Medium Copilot up to the task?

Going “All-In” on Android

I decided to give up my iPad this week in favor of an LG G Pad X8.3 from Verizon. Ironically, what set everything in motion was my wife’s iPhone 5C taking a swan dive out of the car and into certain death at the hands of the pavement. Likely out of embarrassment that it was an iPhone 5C.

Raumfeld Stereo M Bookshelf Speakers: For Those Who Love to Rock!

There’s a new player in the high-end U.S. home audio market and they’re gonna blow you away. Raumfeld’s initial stateside offerings are impressive. We’ll be looking at three of their products in this series of reviews. First up are the oh so impressive Raumfeld Stereo M Bookshelf Speakers. These speakers get seriously loud and sound great at all volumes. The Raumfeld Stereo M bookshelf speakers feature an award-winning design, easy setup, lossless file support for CD-quality sound, and multi-room streaming functionality. They bring German-engineered audio technology to the U.S. in a way that, I suspect, will gain a tremendous amount…

V-MODA ZN In-Ear Limited Edition Headphones Serve Up Audiophile Quality Sound On the Go

The V-MODA ZN In-Ear Headphones offer luxurious materials, deliver top acoustics engineering, embody military-level durability, and are remarkably comfortable. In short, these $180 in-ear monitors are among the best I have tried. They look amazing and sound even better. They are the only in-ear headphones you need. Bottom line…I love them and they have become my favorite in-ear headphones! V-MODA describes the ZN in-ear headphones as “ACTIVE HEADPHONES FOR THE MODERN AUDIOPHILE.” There’s good reason for this description. Not only do they sound amazing but they are built to withstand pretty much anything the rigors of daily use can throw…

Kinsa Smart Thermometer Review

The only thing worse than a sick toddler is taking a sick toddler’s temperature. It’s easy if they’re sleeping, but once the sick kiddo is awake/grumpy, all bets are off. We’ve survived our first year of my son’s preschooling with the requisite colds, so when Kinsa offered to have us review the Smart Thermometer we were all over it! The Kinsa Smart Thermometer looks like a cross between a regular digital thermometer and a headphones cord. You plug the thermometer into a compatible iPhone or Android smartphone, and use the Kinsa app as the interface to see your child’s temperature….

New Monowear Leather Deployment Band For Apple Watch

Dan and I recently did reviews of some of Monowear’s products for the Apple Watch. We were both pleased with the design and quality of their bands. They have just released a new take on band design that combines open loop and closed loop options. The new leather deployment bands retail for $89.99 and are really cool. Let’s take a look! Historically, when using a standard leather watch band, they push through the little loop and hook into whichever hole is best for your size then run through another loop to hold the access. While this style of watch band…

The Canary is a Home Security Camera That Will Capture Everything In Its Lenses

Over the past month, I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing the Canary Smart Home Security Device and camera, and if you’re looking for an awesome smart home product that will not only let you see what’s going on in your home when you’re not there, but also track the elements in the environment you place it, this is a must have product! A cloud-based security system, the Canary itself is about the size of a Lysol aerosol spray can, with a beautiful white finish surrounding the Canary’s camera which is an all-black interface that shows glowing red dots forming a…

The HP Elite x2: This Two-In-One Is Ready for Business

Confession: I bought a fully loaded Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with the (optional) purple keyboard cover last year. But as much as I loved the idea of the 2-in-1 Surface Pro, I ultimately sent it back. Why? One of the biggest reasons was that I hated the keyboard.

Monowear MonoChest Keeps Your Best Apple Watch Bands Safe

Since the Apple Watch bands are so easy to change out, most people will collect a few styles. Some of these bands can be costly and need to be stored safely. Monowear has introduced the MonoChest ($99.95) which will safely house and display up to three bands and the watch as it charges. Let’s take a closer look.
