I have always been an iPad guy, but unfortunately have become priced out of the lineup. With kids and a mortgage, I just cannot afford the technology. I jumped at the chance to review the RCA Mercury Pro seven inch tablet which retails for only $79.99. Is this super affordable tablet worth looking at for a casual user?
I never really warmed up to bud-style headphones. I’ve used them when necessary, but given the choice I always prefer over the ear style instead. Skullcandy sent me their Grind Wireless headphones to review, and these tick off everything I like — over the ears, comfortable, stylish, with quality sound, AND Bluetooth!
We have the chance to review a lot of external batteries on the site. For one to stand out these days it has to have an amazing industrial design, special features or a shockingly low price. The Moshi IonBank 10K has great industrial design and numerous special features. It’s just under $100 but, hey, two out of three ain’t bad.
Yes, Waterfield, one of my favorite bag and case companies, has done it again. The Waterfield Staad Attaché takes its cues from the Staad Backpack Judie and I reviewed some time back and brings its amazing design features to an attaché case that is small and easy to carry but large enough for your iPad Pro or MacBook Pro 13″.
In a sea of mass-produced cases for electronic devices, caseable is one company that is creating custom accessories for devices that not only use your photographs to personalize them, they are doing so right here in the US (in Berlin for their European customers), and they’re making these items– to the greatest extent possible — from recycled materials.
Ever since the holidays, you might have seen people left and right riding in the mall, in parks, or even in your local grocery store on a cheaper version of a Hoverboard after seeing your favorite celebrity riding on one on Instagram, or in a music video.
Over the past month, I’ve been using the most unusual iPad Pro case on the market after literally going caseless for the first two weeks of purchasing the 12.7” tablet and luckily, Moshi sent me over their iGlaze and VersaCover for the extra-large iPad, and I love it.
Timbuk2 describes the Command TSA-Friendly Laptop Backpack as “a dressed up TSA-compliant backpack for road warriors.” All I know is I’m a huge fan. I’ve used it for my last three trips and it served me quite well. It looks good, is well made and keeps my gear safe and organized on the go. And it’s under $130!
If you work with your iPhone at the side of your laptop, then you know how handy a dock can be. Whether you’re just looking at notifications as they pop up or watching the time, it’s handy to have your device kept at a proper viewing angle.
If you’ve got an indoor cat, then you’ve got a litter box of some kind. If you’ve got a conventional litter box, then you know all about the bending, scooping, and discarding of clumped feces and urine that is a necessary evil of cat ownership. There is a better way, and that way is the self-cleaning Litter-Robot Open Air.
Shure describes the MOTIV MV88 IOS Digital Stereo Condenser Microphone as “The Documenter.” Having used the MV88 for the past few months, including at CES 2016 and for any YouTube video I’ve shot in 2016, I can say it is that and much more. The MV88 plugs directly into your iOS device and lets you capture the moment with clarity. The microphone is small, comes with its own protective case and a windscreen and works in random with a free iOS app. The result is a microphone that is easy to use while still being incredibly powerful. When I first…
Whether you are in your mid-twenties and dealing with hormonal breakouts, or in your forties worrying about dryness and the onset of wrinkles, skin is your largest and most likely least understood organ. OKU is a device that is supposed to look “beneath the surface of your skin and see what you can’t see with the naked eye.”
If you happen to own a Quick Charge capable Android phone like the LG G5 or the Samsung Galaxy S7s, you might be wondering which charger you should invest in. I was sent the Choetech T513-S 3-Coils Fast Wireless Charger and the CHOE 18W Fast charger Adaptive Wall Adapter (try saying that five times fast).
There’s no doubt that the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is one of the sleekest superphones available now, and one of the first things you’ll want to do when you get yours will be to put it in a case that doesn’t take away from its good looks or thin form. Incipio can help!
The Phorus PS5 speaker is a gorgeous new way to fill your home with music. It’s got dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity that allows you to connect via your iOS device, Android device, or Windows PC. Featuring DTS Play-Fi, Bluetooth with AptX technology, and support for AirPlay, the PS5 is a music-streaming powerhouse. Get yours now for $199!
In my younger years, I was one of those people who walked around with a huge rectangular boombox. In fact, it was a boombox blasting Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes that became the soundtrack for my teen tour of Israel when I was 15. Well, the Boombox is back in a Monster-ful way, thanks to the Monster SuperStar Blaster!
I’ve become enamored of smart lighting recently and have been playing around with a few brands. Elgato, who just recently rolled out their Eve smart home accessories, also offers a line of smarter lights. These aren’t part of the Eve system but they are impressive. I was sent the $99.95 egg-shaped Avea Flare for review.
The Dell XPS 13 has turned out to be such a fantastic travel laptop that I’d find myself wishing for a larger version, and the Dell XPS 15 does not disappoint. With its machined aluminum body, carbon fiber composite interior, and Gorilla Glass Infinity Edge touchscreen, the XPS 15″ manages to wedge a 15.6″ laptop into a 14″ body.
I’ve been intrigued by HP’s new line of connected printers that anticipate when you’ll need ink refills — and they send them to you before you run out! The service is called HP Instant Ink, and to try it, I was sent the new HP OfficeJet 4650 MultiFunction Printer.
Over the past couple of years, I had managed to gain some very unwanted pounds rather rapidly. I thought at first that my weight gain was hormonal, or perhaps I had a thyroid problem. I was running and walking long distances regularly, and I was (sporadically) writing down what I ate, but I wasn’t seeing any results.
