There are not many more things I like in the world other than a good pair of in-ear headphones, and over the past few months I’ve truly lacked in that department, which lead me to going wireless or using over ear headphones. But when at work, I HAVE to have a pair, and I’ve found my new personal favorites in the 1More Triple Driver headphones.
Raina and I are setting up our newly remodeled home and thinking through how to be keep it organized. One challenge? With iPhones and iPads, laptops and more we’re the epitome of the multi-device household. We want to avoid having a tangle of cables and wall adapters. That’s where the Cove comes in. Cove is Griffin’s “Elegant Charging Station.”
I’ve been using radar detectors since the 80s — any brand you can think of, I’ve tried it. Every one of them, except for the K40 CALIBRE system that I reviewed in 2005, was a windshield or mirror-mounted unit. Eleven years later, K40 is still the company I look to when something custom installed is desired.
I finally broke down and bought a MacBook after months of hard-sell from Helena. Being able to carry a full Mac OS X computer that weighs so much less than my 13″ MacBook Pro has been liberating; figuring out how to charge my travel laptop and other devices at the same time has been a bit more of a challenge.
Since their launch in 2008, Proper Cloth has been selling custom dress shirts through their online store to customers around the world. Using a number of sizing methods, each shirt is custom made and hand-assembled and then delivered to your doorstep in about 2 weeks. Proper Cloth guarantees a perfect fit; they’ll alter or remake your first shirt for free!
Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to review some incredible earphones but never before have I experienced anything like the Torque Audio t096z. This one pair of earphones is actually six different pair, thanks to the innovative use of 6 different TorqueValves. Each offers a different sound in order to meet different musical styles and tastes.
One thing that my home way truly missing was a really good home stereo/music system, so while shopping around I stumbled across the Mu-so by Naim Audio. While expensive at $1499, the speaker gets the job done!
Have you ever been in a position where you need that quick charge, or you have a friend who has a brick for you, but their device isn’t the same as yours so you catch yourself asking strangers for a cable so you can get some extra juice to last? You no longer need to do that with Native Union’s Key Cable ($29.99).
Can a pair of Bluetooth wireless headphones that sell on Amazon for under $60 sound decent? That’s the question I brought with me when I began my review of the TOTU BT-2 V4.1 Bluetooth Headphones Wireless Music Stereo Sports Headset. While they have an MSRP of $99.99 you can get them for $40 less on Amazon.
When Raina and I bought our house, I knew I wanted to add ceiling fans and smart functionality. (I know, you are shocked!) The Haiku Ceiling Fan from Big Ass Fans covers both of those “wants”, and the company was kind enough to send a Series L fan along with their Wall Control Module that adds their SenseME technology.
We’re big fans of BodyGuardz products here, whether it’s their screen protectors or protective skins. If you haven’t already got a screen protector on your iPhone, then you should take a look at their ScreenGuardz Pure + Crown premium tempered glass screen protector.
Most of the “wireless” headphones we’ve reviewed still have a wire that connects to each of the earphones on either side of the wearer’s head; the PKparis K’asq Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headset removes that wire and puts the entire package in each of the wearer’s ears. How well could that possibly work?
Brooklyn Bedding’s website offers the tagline “One Mattress to Rule Them All.” It’s an interesting statement but slightly inaccurate. You see, this is the third “bed in a box” I’ve reviewed, and it’s the one that offers the most options. In addition to a range of sizes, it also offers a range of firmness. And the price can’t be beat.
I’ve been a fan of Android since the beginning. While the phone experience has been solid lately, the tablet experience hasn’t been. While I thought it was ok, it really wasn’t. Jide has gone a long way to help this out with their version of Android, titled RemixOS with the Jide Ultra Tablet. It’s a winner.
If you have a new MacBook, you’re probably still sorting out which gear will work with the USB Type-C port on your laptop. Ready and able to meet your backup needs is the LaCie Porsche Design USB-C Mobile Drive; available in 1TB, 2TB or 4TB, this beautiful USB 3.0 hard drive is a more than capable Time Machine backup drive.
Summer is here, and the last thing that anyone wants to think about is going back to school, but that time will be here before you know it. One of the tools that every student needs in their arsenal is a good backup drive, and the Seagate Backup Plus Ultra Slim Portable External Drive is just the ticket.
For a while, backpacks and suitcases have been available that have built-in battery packs for on the go charging. The issue I’ve run into with these combo sets is that I’ve never found a backpack or suitcase that I really liked that came with built-in power. The solution?
JBL describes the JBL Charge 3 as a “waterproof portable Bluetooth speaker with a high-capacity battery to charge your portable devices.” Available in black, blue, grey, red and teal, the speaker puts out serious sound, can go pretty much anywhere you want to go and doubles as an external battery for your smartphone. At $149.95 it’s a bargain.
I’ve bounced between a number of different workout programs; I started with Stronglifts 5×5, then You Are Your Own Gym. Both programs had dedicated apps, so I didn’t have to think about how to track my progress. Since then, I’ve concocted a frankenworkout, but I needed an easy way to track the routine, and Simple Workout Log is my favorite!
Alright, I’ll have to admit, I have a love for a good backpack. I’ve used messenger bags for my daily commute, but I have a fond love for a bag I can place on my shoulders and be on the go with. The issue with many of those bags is that they are entirely too bulky to bother with, or just simply do not get what I’m trying to do.
Having a pet in your home while you’re at work sometimes can scare a lot of pet owners. You never truly know what could happen to your best friend, and sometimes you want to look after them from your desk like the stalker parent you are.
