If you’ve got an iPad Air 2 and you have a cover on it, you might think that’s enough to protect your screen. Maybe it is … but why take the chance? Putting a screen protector on your iPad is reasonable insurance against a scratched or cracked screen, and a protector like the Moshi iVisor AG can help.
There’s one thing that I’ve always thought that I could do a bit better in, and that’s packing for smaller weekend trips where I only need a few things to last three or four days. So I searched for weekender bags because well … It’s just for the weekend right?
August has just begun, and that means there’s still plenty of outside time left before the cold arrives. If you want to bring your music with you into the great outdoors, you owe it to yourself to check out the weather-ready Braven BRV-X Bluetooth speaker. It’s designed to serve up great music no matter where you are, inside or out.
I am always looking for ways to augment my iPhone photography, ever since it became the “camera” I carry with me every day. And since olloclip came on the scene a few years ago, I have been looking forward to testing one of their lens attachments. I recently got that opportunity with the olloclip Active Lens.
Even as device batteries become more efficient, our constant use of them and the power-hungry apps we employ find us needing to utilize battery packs more and more. Most battery packs resemble either a small paver stone or are a battery case type giving us more heft and bulk in a pocket. Enter the Rokform BackPack backup battery.
Cambridge Audio is back with a 2.1-channel speaker base, the TV5, perfect for a reasonably priced upgrade to your home’s audio system. It’s a sleek speaker base with built-in Bluetooth for wireless music streaming. At $399, it’s a beautiful addition underneath any size TV and you won’t need an external subwoofer to make sure the bass is pumping.
Taking group photos are hard, yes, even on an Android. I don’t care what feature Samsung places in their commercials, there’s something pretty cool (albeit corny) about a selfie stick. So when Satechi sent over their Bluetooth Smart Selfie Extension Arm monopod, the first thing that came to mind is “I finally get to try one!!”
Little-known fact: one of the items on my bucket list is going to a mixology training. Yes, I’ve always wanted to be able to mix delicious drinks and do so with flair. Time is tight these days so it will have to wait. Fortunately, the Mason Shaker Barware Set from DadsGifts.com will let me up my drink game just a bit.
I feel like I have an addiction: Battery Chargers. I hadn’t found one that will charge all of my devices collectively at night when I go to bed, or whenever I’m traveling, hold up enough juice to last throughout the day. It’s safe to say that has changed.
Have you got an Apple Watch that you’d like to lift up and off of your desk when charging? Do you travel a lot and need something that doesn’t make it complicated to remove your charging cable when it’s time to pack? If that’s you, then you should check out the Just Mobile TimeStand.
I’m not sure why it has taken me this long to write this review but, having just returned from two weeks in Israel and Greece I felt the need to share my thoughts on my Tilley TH5 HEMP Hat. This $84 hat is, by far, the best damn travel hat EVER. I’ve had it for years and still love it.
One thing that my girlfriend got as a gift from her boss was a car mount for her phone. It was a white elephant gift, and although the value it cost them was probably about $7 bucks, she uses this everyday on her daily commute to and from work to house her phone.
I confess, I have a soft spot for Angry Birds. It’s an easy game to play, and I find it works well as a “time killer” type app. Usually at any given time I have one or two variations on my phone or tablet for casual play. So I do genuinely like the games, and I hate Angry Birds 2.
We try not to let my son have an excess amount of television or tablet time, but as he has become a toddler it has become harder to ban them outright. He knows our phones and tablets have games and videos, so we’ve slowly started adding more toddler-friendly educational games. His favorite and mine is SUPER WHY!, based on the show!
You’d be surprised how dirty your phone truly is. Most of us take our smartphones with us everywhere. The doctor, your kitchen, the bathroom. You can only imagine how disgusting half of the places you take your phone, then right after put it to your ears and mouth to make a call. Our bodies can only take so much.
As of late, I’ve been doing a lot of traveling. And one thing I hate is the fact that when going through baggage check I have to take my laptop out of my bag. So when I had the opportunity to get my hands on the ECBC Lance Daypack, which is every traveler’s dream bag, I jumped.
I’ve always been a fan of hoodies and sweats, and although it’s a bit too warm right now to wear them, I tend to wear them in my house quite often. When I fly as well, I enjoy having something comfortable around my head and there’s nothing more comfortable than a hoodie.
In doing gear reviews, we get to test some pretty cool things – you know, those hot ticket items. This is one of those gadgets, and in case you didn’t guess suspect something from my adjectives I am talking about the Seek Thermal Camera for the latest iOS and Android devices, and it comes in normal and extended range versions.
Running shoes can be a controversial subject. Ask ten runners, and you’re likely to get twenty opinions on what constitutes a good shoe. I’ve gravitated towards very minimal shoes the last few years, so I was unsure how running in the Brooks Glycerin 13 shoes would feel by comparison. Surprisingly, the shoe itself proved less controversial than the colors!
There are two things that I always have on me: My wallet and my keys. With technology catching up fast, I’m finding less and less use for my wallet, but one thing that I know I will need for at least the next 4-5 years are house keys. And there’s nothing worse than losing those.
I use my iPhone to take almost all of my photos anymore; the 6 Plus’s camera is excellent, but it does have limitations. I first found out about the Ztylus case and Revolver 4-in-1 lens system at CE Week, and it intrigued me; after several weeks of use, I figure it’s time you found out about it, too.
