SX Mini M Class Review: High-Class Vaping!

WARNING: The products discussed may contain or use nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical; in many cities and a few states, you must be 21 to purchase vaping products or products containing nicotine. Please familiarize yourself with and obey the law in your location. Expensive, but worth it! I have been a fan of the SX series since I bought the Sigelei 20-watt over a year ago. Yihi doesn’t disappoint with the SX350J chip that comes in the feature-packed SX Mini M Class. If the name makes you think of a Mercedes, it should and not just because of the name.

Vivitek Qumi Q5 Projector Is Perfect for Your Home or On the Go

Even as a child I was a fan of drive-in movie theatres, the big screen, and the projected movie more importantly. So when I grew up and it was time to buy a television, I asked around and received plenty of “get the biggest you can possibly get”. I eventually settled with a 65-inchbecause it seemed practical for my living room space. Then came time to attempt to mount it.

iHome Power Omni 3000 All-in-One Portable Battery + Charger Review

I get paranoid about my phone’s battery dying, and yes — friends will tell you that I can be a bit irrational about it — but the thought of being caught without my phone or with a nearly dead one gives me chills. I appreciate the all-in-one convenience of the iHome Power Omni 3000 All-in-One Portable Battery + Charger.

Lems Boulder Boots Are Begging to Be Your New Travel Companion

During high school and college I spent a good deal of time in Israel, much of that time was spent walking and hiking. A pair of heavy leather boots were my constant companion. The need to travel light, along with airline baggage limits, means the days of traveling with heavy boots is over. That’s where Lems Boulder Boots come in.

Adventure to Education, Hasbro Toys Has It All!

When the youngest grandbaby comes over for visits, he (nearly two now) heads straight for the iPad or smart devices, and the four-year old plops down in my office chair at the computer. I see this and wonder, does anyone make “real” toys anymore and if they did, would today’s kids be interested in them? Hasbro has that answer.

My Week with the Apple Watch

“He used his Apple Watch as a boarding pass!” the TSA agent shouted to his buddy. I was geeking out too, but to be honest, it was pretty awkward finding a good way to position my arm so the watch was face-down on the scanner. That pretty much sums up my impressions so far: The Apple Watch is exciting, but…

The Polk Audio Omni S2 Is Wireless Sound That Goes with Any Decor

Polk Audio describes the Polk Audio Omni S2 wireless speaker as “The First Great-Sounding Wireless Music System.” That’s a bold claim for a wireless speaker that costs under $180 and comes with multiple grills. If the claims ring true the S2 is a great deal. The key of course is, “If the claims ring true…” According to Polk Audio the Omni S2 offers “unparalleled sound.” As they explain: “The Omni S2 is an ultra-compact speaker that lets you put Polk’s widely respected signature sound in any room of your home. The Omni S2 comes with both black and white swappable…

808’s Performer Bluetooth Headphones Are Best Used With It’s Cable

It’s always fun being able to review Bluetooth headphones over here at Gear Diary, so it was exciting to be able to review 808’s Over-The-Ear Audio Performer BT Bluetooth Headphones. I will be the first to say this…I hate cords. Wearing a sling bag daily to and from work, I really despise having to pull my phone out of my pocket to change a tune or check a notification. Yes, first-world problems. The 808 Audio Performer BT’s are able to be used wirelessly for those of us who enjoy being cable free, or if you just have to have…

Infinity Reference 1200S Subwoofer Is All About The Bass

While not an homage to Meghan Trainor, this review is all about that bass–specifically, the Infinity by HARMAN Reference 1200S Subwoofer. An award for unique style and design should go out to the Infinity car audio engineers that came up with this unique, space-saving, low-profile subwoofer that brings excellent bass reproduction, selectable impedance, and small enclosure requirement.

HP EliteBook Folio 1020 G1 Notebook PC Review: Sleek and Secure

Last fall I attended IFA, and one of the biggest announcements to come out of the show was the introduction of Intel’s newest Core M Processor. This year there are quite a few laptops that take advantage of Core M, and the HP EliteBook Folio 1020 G1 is one of them.

Maxwell Scott Paolo2 Classic Leather Briefcase Review

At $568 the Maxwell Scott Paolo2 Classic Leather Briefcase isn’t for everybody. But if you like classic design, amazing craftsmanship, gorgeous leather, and money is no concern, you’ll love this bag. Most of the bags I use are a bit on the casual and sporty side while this bag screams, “I’m all business.” And that’s a good thing. The Paolo2 isn’t designed as a laptop bag. You won’t find a padded compartment for your computer or tablet. You won’t find a slot for an external battery. And you won’t find fancy passthroughs for running cables. No, this bag is a…

Rediscover Classic Soft Machine with Newly Remastered 1974 Live Recording

It is hard for me to think that it has been nearly 37 years since I was first awed by the guitar playing of Allan Holdsworth on the album ‘Feels Good to Me’ by Bill Bruford. His style was first shown with Soft Machine, and now we get to see it develop as part of the legendary Switzerland 1974 recording!

Grovemade Walnut MacBook Back: Not Your Average Laptop Accessory

It’s not every day that I recommend a product simply because it’s lovely to look at and adds joy to my tech experience, but the Grovemade Walnut MacBook Back is just such an item. At $49.99, it’s in that no-man’s land between cheap enough to not think twice about — but just pricey enough that it might give you pause.

Bluelounge New Product Roundup and Reviews

Since first meeting with Bluelounge at CES 2014 I’ve been a fan. And when the company releases new products I’m always interested in what they have now come up with. They just announced two new products-Pixi Multi-Purpose Ties and the Portiko power cord. Both are affordable, well-executed, and serve excellent purposes. PIXI MULTI-PURPOSE TIES The first product Bluelounge just announced are the Pixi Multi-Purpose Ties. These are… “adjustable and reusable multi-purpose tie to bundle or secure anything under the sun.
