Due to popular demand – specifically demand from the Axon 7 user community, an Android O update has arrived. ZTE is making their Android Oreo update available in beta for users who register through their Z-Community.
In the war that is Android versus iOS, Android has one advantage- flexibility. Android devices aren’t bound by the “closed garden” of Apple products. This leads to some neat innovations. (After all, Android gave us phablets!) Thus we have the new ZTE Axon M.
Huawei’s flagship phone, the AI-driven Mate 10 Pro, is finally available for pre-order in the U.S. for $799. The phone will be available starting February 18th at Amazon, BestBuy, Microsoft, Newegg, and B&H. With more than 4,000 companies exhibiting at CES, choosing the best of CES was a challenge. Even so, we want to recognize the products we saw that are truly innovative, take technology in new directions or, in one case, make something great accessible to every consumer.
We are quite fond of ZTE USA here at Gear Diary. Not only are they the fourth largest smartphone supplier in the US, but the company continues to innovate year after year, so it’s hard to not sing their praises.
People like to dress up in white for the New Year, and it seems that so does OnePlus. To that effect, they have just announced a Limited Edition Sandstone White model. The device combines the signature OnePlus Sandstone texture with a bright white hue reminiscent of the OnePlus One Silk White. The design is complemented by a red alert-slider.
Honor has set some lofty goals with the Honor 7X, and that is to be the best budget phone of 2018. After spending some time with the Honor 7X, we can safely say that they aren’t far off from it. Priced at $199, the Honor 7X is priced to compete with the Moto G5 Plus.
If you are serious about cord-cutting, then I’m sure you’ve heard of Fire Stick and Roku, but let me just put it to you as simple as it can be: None of them can hold a candle to the NVIDIA Shield TV.
At the Qualcomm Tech Summit last week, Qualcomm took the wraps off of their next generation Snapdragon chipset. The Snapdragon 845 offers a slew of new improvements over the Snapdragon 835, and all of these new improvements will be taking your smartphone (and even your laptop) to the next level in 2018 and beyond.
It has only been a couple of months since OnePlus released the OnePlus 5, and here they are with the newer, larger 5T. The 5T ups the ante by packing in a large 6” phablet size display with thinner bezels.
Today in London, Honor announced their new Honor 7X. Retailing for just $199 in the U.S., the Honor is targeting the budget crowd; even more specifically it’s going after the Moto G5 which it undercuts by $30.
The trend for some time has been for phones to have bigger and bigger screens, which generally means bigger and bigger phones. But what if you want something smaller? A smartphone so small you can slip it into your jean’s coin pocket, or small enough to slip into the tiniest evening bag? Then you need a Unihertz Jelly Pro!
Huawei’s flagship phone has landed internationally with 2 models with an all-new curved glass body. Sporting a large 6-inch OLED display, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is the pricier and more premium model of the two. We’ve been playing with the Mate 10 Pro for a few weeks now. Here are 10 things we really like about the Huawei Mate 10 Pro.
Bose is a brand that’s name is recognizable almost anywhere you go. Mostly they are known for their over-ear headphones like the QuietComfort 35’s that we reviewed earlier this year, but one thing that was long desired from many fans of the company was a pair of Truly wireless in-Ear headphones.
One of the best features (other than Animoji) for the iPhone X, hands down, has to be the Wireless charging. Now sure, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus both have this compatibility as well, but no matter the device, you should take advantage of the functionality. And what better company to do it with besides RAVPower?
There are plenty of “Truly Wireless” earbuds on the market that you could chose from, many with half-baked features like fitness tracking and glowing lights, but what if you just want a great sounding pair of wireless earbuds? If this is the case, you need to purchase the YEVO 1 truly wireless earbuds, and here’s why.
A few weeks ago, Judie asked if I’d like to review the LG V30 for Gear Diary. I jumped at the chance. I’d heard many good things about LG’s latest flagship and had also read some concerns about it. But the chance to use it was on offer, and I took advantage of it.
On Friday the 13th, I had the opportunity to attend an event at the New York Film Festival. Rather than being your typical movie premiere, I was treated to six short films created by emerging NYC filmmakers — ranging from thriller to docu-style — all had been shot on the LG V30.
Two weeks ago, I was telling a friend that I see today’s phones as more evolutionary rather than revolutionary. She asked what I’d consider revolutionary, and I said I’d like to see a phone company create a dual-screen device that could fold into either a phone or a tablet. Would you believe that ZTE has gone and done just that?!
Huawei has just unveiled their latest flagship phones — the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. What’s the biggest feature that sets them apart from all the other phones that are available? Both the Huawei Mate 10 and 10 Pro have the new Huawei Kirin 970 processor, which supports their first AI mobile computing platform.
I like to know how things are made, and I get a special thrill when I’m invited to take a behind-the-scenes look at a product — especially something that I regularly use — being made from start to finish. Recently, along with a small group of writers, I went to Shenzhen and Beijing, China for a behind-the-scenes look at Huawei.
